Thanks Nunny. Guess it will depend on how her crop is in the morning. She ate quite a bit after I got her settled at my house. So if her crop is empty in the AM I will know it is fine. If not then she is getting treated at both ends!

That's always fun. I see where Stacey's coming from.. maybe get a referral to a back guy. It could be something that's been there for a while and just decided that now is the perfect time to cause a problem. My friend had a horrible bulging disk. Dr said it was the worst he'd ever seen, but also told her it was probably from an old injury that got worse over time til it was a big problem.

I've never understood how it became the norm to question a doctor. Not as the patient. As the patient you should ask questions and discuss treatments. But what insurance company knows better then what my doctor and I decide.

I have nasal allergies. I can't stand and can't use Flonase. So I get Nasocort. I go to fill by rx, nope...you can have Flonase. I then have to call my Dr., they have to call the insurance and I have to back to the pharmacy for the ex I should have been given in the first place.

You don't take your car to the mechanic and he says "you need brakes" then the insurance company says "well we think you should get headlights so that's what we will cover."

That happened w/ my daughter's allergy pills. Her allergist put her on Allegra when it was still prescription, they said she could have claritin. We'd already tried it, and it didn't work. She spend a couple years on allegra, then they switched it to OTC and wouldn't cover it anymore. It's ridiculous the things they decide you do and don't need. I read something about Nixon signed something to allow insurance companies to profit from patients and that's what screwed everything up. If that's the case, I don't see why they can't just take that away. It's clearly screwing 99% of the people in the country. I was really paranoid going into my daughter's surgery that they'd deny it or they'd come back after the not pre-approved emergency surgery and say it wasn't covered (or the week long hospital stay). Thankfully it was.

I bow to you dear Henny, my feast is bean and cheese burritos. I'm going to fancy them up with salsa, sour cream and extra cheese...just like the pilgrims did it.

I got chinese on Wed night and bought enough so that was my Tgiving meal. Best idea ever.

Hubby has the turkey in the oven. He used pliers to get the neck out since it was frozen to the interior of the bird.

That has so happened to me before. I hate when they look thawed on the outside then you open it up and it's all icy on the inside.

LOL I got a good laugh that out of 100 food pics none of them opened..
If you want gore, come look at my birds' balls and tell me what causes that discolored testicle in heritage mix... cause?

It's supposed to be 45 today!!! I'm so excited. I got up early and opened the back pop door so the girls could go out there today.
I had their poop checked on Wed.. no roundworm or cocci this time, but we do have tapeworm again! Grrrrr. When I'd talked to the dr the first time around she said that tapeworm wasn't a big deal and not to worry about it. Anyone else ever hear that? I'm hoping I don't have to retreat again.

Thanks for all the congrats and well wishes on the new job. So far, it's great!

So, it got down to 17 last night. I was afraid my Seramas were all gonna freeze--and this is their first winter--so I brought them inside in a dog cage. My hubby wasn't thrilled, but oh well!

It's supposed to get up to 35 today. They have done OK at 27 in their coop (which is well insulated and with a Sweeter Heater). So they will go back outside when it warms up a bit. Right now they're in the garage.

Suz, WVDC, how are your guys doing? I know Suz's adults are about my adults' ages. And Ohio is colder than NJ...

Gonna go eat some leftovers! yas!

Got down to 24 last night and my Seramas did just fine. My Silkie and my Svart roost with them at night and it's a fairly small coop and they only use it to roost at night and lay eggs. I do have a sweeter heater in the big coop which is where they all spend their days if it raining or windy but I've never seen the Seramas under it. Mainly my D'ucclle is the only one that seems to use it. So I tend to believe that Seramas are much tougher than they are given credit for. During the day, unless it's raining, hey are out in the big run with all the others

Speaking of Seramas.......my babies are now 13 weeks and I still cant decide if they are girls or boys. I'm pretty sure the silkied one is a roo.

What do ya'll think??
It's the 2 in the front....1 is silkied and 1 is frizzled

No idea, but they're very pretty. They both have huge combs though. I hope you have at least one girl.
