Speaking of Seramas.......my babies are now 13 weeks and I still cant decide if they are girls or boys. I'm pretty sure the silkied one is a roo.

What do ya'll think??

They're gorgeous! But they both look like cockerels to me, sorry...

The one behind them is a pullet, but that's an older one, right?

I'm glad yours are doing well in the cold! I think I'm gonna keep mine in the garage until tomorrow AM. It's supposed to be above freezing then. It's like 45 in the garage and they're all crowding together on the perch.

I know they are hardier than they are supposed to be, but I don't want to shock their systems by putting them outside just yet--there's too much of a temp difference...

Hi all,

We are having a good thanksgiving. We are having the annual Black Friday Indian food dinner tonight. The Milk Drinker is showing signs of liking spicy food.

I found someone to do my birds at $2 a bird. That’s a steal! If he is willing I may just continue using him when the birds back up. He is 1.5 hours away, but it is worth it to me.

That's great! Do you have to wait around while he does it, or can you pick them up another day?

Man, I am killing it with the awkward photos lately.

1\4 to 1\3 of the suppository..in the vent. Get her to eat a quarter inch of the ointment by beak twice a day. It should work in 3-5 days

The things we do for our Chickens!

It's supposed to be 45 today!!! I'm so excited. I got up early and opened the back pop door so the girls could go out there today.
I had their poop checked on Wed.. no roundworm or cocci this time, but we do have tapeworm again! Grrrrr. When I'd talked to the dr the first time around she said that tapeworm wasn't a big deal and not to worry about it. Anyone else ever hear that? I'm hoping I don't have to retreat again.
No! Tapeworm IS a problem.
Sorry she’s nuts.
Treat with praziquantel.
Man I’m shaking my head.

I would NOT use the suppository as a suppository!
It’s for oral.
I should have said to get the kind where you get three suppositories and a smaller tube of the cream for external.
Id cut the suppository into four equal parts. That 1-day ovule is strong.
One chunk by mouth each day AND A liberal slathering on the hoohah with the cream after a good butt rinse.

NO Bread products. Stay off the corn or scratch too. anything that the body converts to a sugar.
No probiotics til the treatment ends.
If you can do the cream twice a day all the better.

If you aren’t seeing drastic results in the four days, give her the cream to both ends for 3 more days.
