Twelve and a half weeks. One of my boys started crowing a few days ago (so pathetic, but so cute!)

S/he has a really small comb and wattles. The hackle feathers are what scared me, although I'm thinking the color is more pointed than the actual shape, if that makes sense. The boy siblings' hackles are way longer and pointed.

I'm not seeing boylike characteristics in the hind end, either, and the feet aren't really that thick, like the boys....
I think it is just coloration that is making them look pointed. I had one homemade BSL pullet that had people telling me it was a male even though I knew she wasn’t.

That is funny! BSL roosters look completely different than the hens
