Ok, I must be a horrible person... Piggy story. Ham must have heard us talking about taking him to the processor. He defeated the fence and everyone escaped. He and one of the little girls dissapeared. The next day the other three were in my neighbor's pond. So we got them home and put them in the woodshop. It worked until they defeated the roll up door. Fixed that and got two out of three back in the woodshop. Big girl, likely pregnant still out. Just about killed ourselves trying to get her back in. and here's the big question. Am I bad? I'm thinking about taking the 9mm with me next attempt and if I fail put her into the compost pile.

Not bad. You should hear what I threaten the goats with when they escape. :lol:

Everything I know about keeping pigs couldn't fill a thimble!
That said I have always been told they are nearly impossible to pen up.

A nice lady that got some ducks from me many years ago had hog pens made with concrete walls. They had kept pigs commercially for decades. She said they rarely had escapes.

And to those weirdos, ha, like me--if there are any out there!--who prefer to spend the holiday ALONE AND AWAY FROM INLAWS, with the dogs and chickens (who never say or think anything mean about anyone!)

My brother called and asked if i was ok with the holidays. I was confused and ask what was he talking about... He figured since I live alone the holidays must bother me...
HELLO I have lived alone most of my life, by choice. Why would it suddenly start to bother me??

Ha put in the freezer not the compost pile.

There have been several news spots and "commercials" about people being alone for the holidays. Basically encouraging people to check in on friends and relatives that are alone.W

Whatever the reason he was thinking of you. I think he meant well.

I hope you're having a peaceful and happy holiday.

Yes he means well, I had to get a cell phone when I retired.....because he was worried when I wasn't sitting by the phone when he called. :barnie A good thing to have, I Guess .
