I wonder what they think all those people who live in those towns that don't allow roosters are doing.It's amazing how many people still think you need roosters (or hormones) to get eggs.....
I'm a "crunchy" person who doesn't like a lot of the practices of the animal oriented food operations, but even I know that isn't true.

They can have yucky stuff, but I use them and crack them into a separate bowl before adding them to stuff so I can pick out the 'meat'... I know some people don't care, but I'd rather not eat that. I won't sell a new layers eggs b/c I don't want ppl to think my eggs are gross, plus they're really small. My olive eggs are just now getting big enough that I'm comfortable selling them. The smaller light brown eggs are still super tiny.It really is amazing the lack of knowledge about where/how food comes from and to us.
I had a college educated person tell me "you cannot eat a hens first eggs. They are full of yucky stuff." . A week later he asked me how on earth I got eggs with no rooster.
He got educated about eggs.....I bet he never ate another.
