Best thing ever! We had a water contamination issue once when we were in the DC Metro area. Didn't bother us at all. Everyone else was scrambling to get bottled water and no one had it.

Yup, I remember that, we had our Berkey already at the time so we were covered.

sometimes "a boogie nose," comes and goes. When I wanted to ditch school I would wash my hair and then stick my head out the bathroom window(In deep winter). That usually didn't help BUT, I learned how to talk extremely hoarse to convince my mother I needed to stay home.

Good morning! Cold as a mofo out there, think it was 24 when I first went out but up to 38 now.

Good morning. I brought my OE Maude in the house this morning. She just didn't seem herself. She has always been really healthy....never sick. The cold seems to be bothering her more than usual. Her comb is red, feathers are shiny and smooth, crop isn't swollen or squishy. Made her some scrambled eggs which she ate. Haven't seen any pop yet and she hasn't laid in a few weeks . Hopefully I'm just being paranoid

Good to know i'm not the only one with a chicken in the house.

I'm good, chooks are good! Thanks for asking! I'm loving the job, some days the little boogers suck the life juices outta me (middle school=lots of mental health issues...these kids have no coping skills nowadays. It's scary) but I'm very happy there. Lotsa good people I work with and a positive, supportive work environment. It's great!

Chooks are all happy/ healthy. The weather got a little warmer. I got my Cozy Coop heater and hubby is gonna install it today cuz next week because it's supposed to get cold again.

I'm getting lots of eggs now. Gonna go try my hand at making a frittata now. Love you guys!

Yeah that is Miss Sallie my big Brahma child. She's a little bit limpy gimpy so I brought her in to hang out and terrorize the cat.
