Maybe you’re saving yourself from getting kidney stones!
depends how hard the water is.. could be good

Typical recommended dietary intakes are about 1000 mg of calcium per day and 200– 400 mg of magnesium per day. For calcium and magnesium, the typical contribution from water is 5–20% (WHO, 1973; National Research Council, 1977; Neri & Johansen, 1978). Because of dietary habits in most countries, many people fail to obtain the recommended intakes of one or both of these nutrients from their diets and therefore their supply from drinking water is important.

Hard water is not a health hazard. In fact, the National Research Council (National Academy of Sciences) states that hard drinking water generally contributes a small amount toward total calcium and magnesium human dietary needs. They further state that in some instances, where dissolved calcium and magnesium are very high, water could be a major contributor of calcium and magnesium to the diet.

Very high hardness (above 300 ppm) which is not typical of drinking water originating from surface water, may be associated with higher risk of kidney stones. In most cases of kidney stones, the blood in a human body, due to certain inherent problems, starts absorbing more calcium from water and food than actually needed. As a result, excess calcium is deposited on the walls of the kidney in the excretion process.

I took her back out to hang with the others a while, i'm going to soak her feet later see if that makes her feel better.
I'm still not sure what is going on with her, she's eating, drinking and pooping just fine. But dosen't want to use one foot, takes a few steps and lays down.
So don't know if she's bruised it or if it is feathers or growing pains.
Iv'e literally looked at every inch of that girl and don't see a thing.:idunno

Is this the one with the horrible foot feathers?

Nope that is Tucks, she's my foot disaster weird nails, big awful feathers. Sallie may be halfway to Tuckstown though, she's growing a massive amount of foot feathers they're even coming out her toes. Her nails look nice though!
She's going through her chicken puberty too, comb is just now starting to pop out, wattles are starting and of course more feathers.

THIS is what scares me away from ever getting feather footed chickens!

Ok....definitely need some help. Brought my OE in this morning cuz she just didn't seem right. She has eaten some scrambled egg and has been drinking water. Went out and checked her poop under where she roosts and this is what I saw. She is also holding her mouth open slightly, almost like she is too warm. Crop feels a little poofy
