Official Squatch Watchers

Now that is skill! :gig
I've also been documenting use of and temperature with the trash can heater. I have a remote thermometer out in the coop that sends the temp and humidity to the base in the house. Will also give me and high and low for 24 hrs.
The coop had a garage door and I left the old tracks in place. They weren't in the way and I was in a hurry. So I had the remote thermometer set up on the track. The friend that helped me set up the heater asked if I could get the remote closer to the trash can to see how much of a temperature difference there might be. View attachment 1659525
That was the best place I could find to set it. I can't hang it from a handle or anything which would have been ideal.
I moved it when I first got out there. Refilled the lamps, extreme cared some combs and thought I'd check the temp.

Less then 10 min and they managed to poop on it!!! On a vertical surface no less.
It is about 3° warmer next to the can....
Got everybody locked up. Put Sallie in the coop in a nest box of course put the door back on so she dosent hop out and get pooped on, not too worried about her getting beat up that isn't happening for whatever reason.
She'd totally get pooped on though, yesterday's tub soak yeilded many hidden surprises.:sick

Does her breath stink? The treatment since you caught it early is to isolate her and don't feed her and massage her crop top to bottom every couple hours. Medicine is monistat in the mouth.
If that dosen't work you'll have to make her barf.
Ok brilliant ppl. I'm pretty sure Klaus has a sour crop. It's big and mushy. Now what?

Is her breath bad....:lau

Seriously not asking you to smell her breath.

So she has been beat up, food/treat intake is not stellar, she is kinda down looking.....I think you know the cause now.

Monistat for her orally, ACV in the water at 2TBSP per gallon.

I see Chicky types faster. :p

Yes you need to massage and possibly induce a puke.

Iv'e barfed a chicken or two in my day...you can probably tell.:gig

I have read that a few times. :bow

I have been very lucky with my birds. No puke needed.....yet.

Cinders does have a pendulous crop so it could still happen.
She wears a crop bra in summer. For some reason she is ok in winter.

Ugh last one I did was Lulu. I don't have any help by the time I was done I thought my arm would fall off.
One time deal with her thank goodness!
She kept breaking out of the hospital crate and flippin eating! I wondered why the massage kept backpeddling it got better then boom back again.
She'd go back in like nothing happened. I finally caught her sabotaugeing herself.:barnie
