Official Squatch Watchers

I have no idea what Sallie did. I suspect she fell off the roost and landed weird. She has a little bruise that came up on the bottom of the sore foot's toe. It took a couple days to show up really well.
Hard to tell sometimes on her since her legs and feet are spotted.
I'll only hate you for a couple more days. By Sunday I'll like you again... unless your temps go below freezing before them.

Kinda sounds like how Jackie was.. She could walk & run, but I could tell something wasn't right. She eventually healed up. I think she hurt herself jumping down from the roosts. She's a hefty lady.
Above 60 here this weekend, crazy weather!
We are forecast to be near 60 this weekend. :plbb

I took a big unexpected nap today. I've been working days and then my normal nights so I guess I needed it.
Got a good laugh when a friend sent me this.

Ok I laughed for real at that! Freaking funny mostly because it's a chicken.

I do know here that if they try 3 times to read a meter and cannot (for any of the checked boxes) it's a fine.

That chicken needs chained up!! She's a menace!

I've also been documenting use of and temperature with the trash can heater. I have a remote thermometer out in the coop that sends the temp and humidity to the base in the house. Will also give me and high and low for 24 hrs.
The coop had a garage door and I left the old tracks in place. They weren't in the way and I was in a hurry. So I had the remote thermometer set up on the track. The friend that helped me set up the heater asked if I could get the remote closer to the trash can to see how much of a temperature difference there might be.

That was the best place I could find to set it. I can't hang it from a handle or anything which would have been ideal.
I moved it when I first got out there. Refilled the lamps, extreme cared some combs and thought I'd check the temp.

Less then 10 min and they managed to poop on it!!! On a vertical surface no less.
It is about 3° warmer next to the can....
