I do know my silkie cross/cross will move them around. I picked one up and put it out of the way by the door only to find her scooting it around.
"This doesn't go here!"
I have A fake egg or golf ball in most of the nests. Sometimes I think I have a bunch of eggs, only one is an egg. Someone moves the fakers. Had a BR broody that stole the other broody's eggs.. they were marked.. I think she is the golf ball/fake egg thief too

My broody queen will scoot everything under her even if there isn't anything under there. So I put my hand under her one day. How Cow is she strong! This bird is maybe 3 lbs...she pinched my hand with her body. It really was the neatest feeling.

They are strong.. I steal eggs from under them while they are getting ready to lay.. some don't want to give them up. it's like a person clamping down on your hand... other hens will lift up so I can take the eggs. Although one will peck me repeatedly, in the same spot. she draws blood. When she was broody I wanted to see what eggs she had and swap for ones that i wanted hatched. She grabbed my wrist above the glove and twisted, she left a 1/2 v gash... I think she likes blood.. :barnie
I decided she could keep whatever she had

I got 6 eggs!!! :woot

That tiny one.......It isn't from a bantam.....It is from my "giant" red cochin. I caught her laying it.
The shell seems thin too. I will crack it in the morning.

The lady I have bought most of my chickens from has used it for years. She recommended it. I know that some people on BYC don't like it but my friend has used it on her flock for years with great results and no problems

That's what I got from that thread. Those that used it said they had good results.
The only question mark for me was where it was posted showing one size bottle with an 18 day egg withdraw while the bigger bottles said 24 hour withdrawl.

Well, we had a power outage for about an hour. At 9:30, when Thing 1 was almost asleep, the power went out, turning off his music box. Which, of course, woke him up. :he

Took until after 10, many goodnight hugs/kisses, tucking in and several reminders that his music was “broken” to get him asleep. DH came to bed then too since the internet was down and we don’t have cell service at our house. He is soundly asleep as well. The power came back on and I got up to get a snack, brush my teeth, and shut off lights that I forgot to shut off after the power went out.

Time for me to get to sleep too.

Hoping everyone there sleeps soundly.
