Official Squatch Watchers

Oh, I have sad news. I lost one of my Bantam Cochin cross hens. She somehow got herself wedged in a cinder block in their run. Fortunately, she wasn't one of the broodies.
Sorry Rae, that is always miserable. I lost a whole litter of bunnies yesterday. 5 of them. Idk why.

I could not believe it! That's only 5 months... maybe even a little less.

Chicky is right....moisture barrier is definitely needed.

Mold happens fast......really really fast. :th

In Sacramento on I-80, a light pole fell across some of the lanes. a bunch of cars crashed into it. One SUV went off of the road.

I do not know if it was wind related but there was higher than normal wind here last night
Yikes, glad i am in VA! We had sunny and 60s today. After Friday, no rain in the forecast for a week. It had been many months since that happened!

Ok..... That sux bad!

Ideas long term......

Building a raised floor then cutting vents in the siding so air flows under the coop??

Pavers?

PDZ...ag lime......something to dry it up.....

Maybe a butt ton of sand or pea gravel then floor on top of that????

Mold! NOT GOOD!

There is some mold on top of my painted walls inside the original coop, despite excellent ventilation. So it is scheduled for scrubbing and repainting asap.
