She still is developing new feathers, that is sort of like confetti. She looks damn near bald if you raise up the feathers she has. Her green and cooper colors around her neck and upper chest are turning so shiny. So pretty.

Me too! But, at least I didn’t see it in every poop today. Hopefully that is improvement. The picture above is the most I have seen and that was a couple of hours after her dewormer.

I had a brainstorm of an idea for theme names for a rooster flock !

I was on a different thread where they were talking about putting lawn fertilizer on their grass ...
(I don’t put squat on my grass. I don’t care what they say about how safe it it.
It’s poison.)

Anyway I’m getting beside the point as usual...

This is the theme name idea I had:
All lawnmower brands!
Or if it was a mixed flock they would just have non-gender specific names but the rooster could be named............JOHN DEERE!

I hadn't posted about Miss May yet.
She is one of my big blue cochins.
She acts very off. Crop is good, no egg stuck, no goopy nose,belly feels normal, clear eyes. Slight limp but the foot and leg are good, no weird feather thing with the foot either.

I am going to try putting her and a roommate in the broody coop. I need to see her eat.
She is down a pound and a half, won't or cannot roost, keeps her tail down, sits around looking and acting like she isn't well. I got some egg and a tiny bit of mash in her but the other 5 birds in that coop make it very difficult.
Her crop was pretty empty at coop closing tonight.
I have yet to get an egg from her this spring.
I think she is internally laying even though her belly feels normal.
She is 3 years old. Last year she only laid about a dozen eggs total.
