May ate a tiny amount of egg white. :hmm
Flat out refusal on anything else.
She DID get up and walk out into the run mostly normally. Once out she was going after some scratch. I know not ideal.
BUT....her tail was up instead of down.
We will see how it goes.

The big coop got the pop door open for now. I am watching the wind and will close it once it picks up. Those birds will all head in when it gets windy. We are at 43° in the coops so far.

OH and it IS rain/sleeting right now. I dropped the sides on the hoop run and added several more clips.

Hubby MIGHT tolerate May being in the house. She is one he likes.
Ick!

She still is developing new feathers, that is sort of like confetti. She looks damn near bald if you raise up the feathers she has. Her green and cooper colors around her neck and upper chest are turning so shiny. So pretty.
It is a good sign that new feathers are growing in

@21hens-incharge my husband doesn’t like it, but he tolerates it only because we use separate bathrooms.
Thinking of Miss May this morning!

@Suzi18 I have never heard of tacking a dog’s stomach. Very interesting.

I went and checked on her. She is back to sitting down but is alert. She isn't puffed up either.

On a different note.........that 10(ish) year old bantam cochin Bitty has laid 8 eggs in 14 days.
:th

My bantam cochins lay long into their lives too. Are you gonna eat those old lady eggs? :p

No reason not to. :lau
Unless you know something I don't.....:hmm

They ARE tiny......peewee sized.
Who knows how long they have been in that chicken. :p. I have problems eating eggs as it is. :sick Of course I get a gazillion eggs daily, so I can be very picky in which ones I keep. :)

I am getting overrun lately myself.
My "layers" slack while my old hens keep plugging along.

And as if I didn't have enough going on Sable is puking today.
She ate grass this morning. Oh goodie.

With 5 dogs here I'm always glad for a day without puke, or poop in my house. Some days these dogs are just filthy animals. :)
