All the things I hate!

@Chickassan Henrietta is like a pitiful woman trying to be liked by the star male. She walks up behind him, only to run and get chased when he turns around. Peeks around the corner, only to get chased and attacked. I mean, what tha? I guess she is hoping to be accepted.

She isn't pitiful, she's wonky there is a difference. Good news is it passes. Tucks and Hobo both went through a phase of getting pecked and chased by the rooster, as awful as it was it passed.
I will not even begin to guess why they do that to begin with. My only stab at it would be that both hens are wonky.:)https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wonky

Just 4 or 5 years. Some seem more delicate than others. If we stay warm and damp they rot. The ones I lost were my color changing and parrot tulips. I won't be replanting them. I may add some white ones since most of mine are purple. I lost about 200 out of a bed in front of the porch. Lots of empty space this year in that bed.
Those were not special to me. We found them under a giant evergreen Bush we removed. It was amazing they survived there. I don't know how old that shrub was but once moved they lived happily 15 years+ in the new location.

I will have to look up black cornflower. It sounds interesting.
I tend to lean toward plants with dark foliage or dark blooms.
Have you seen black lace elderberry? It is stunning!
No but I looked it up. You're right.....it is stunning. I have a thing for dark foliage too.

@21hens-incharge lol here's the pic. That's what I get for trying to do 2 things at the same time.

I also have this blue one. This is also from the internet but mine is a start from my Moms garden and hers was a start from my Grandfather's garden. He was quite the gardener. He had an acre garden. Every fruit and vegetable you can imagine. His garden was divided into squares. Veggies and fruits in the inside and bordered by beautiful flowers. He even grew popcorn. He also had a walnut tree and plum, peach pear and apple trees. Grapes too. I wish I had been old enough to get lots of gardening advice from him. He died when I was 10

I remembered the picture this time.

Ok, well grandpa hit the nail on the head. Mind you I visited him for two weeks when I was 23 and needed to loose weight. It worked, I dropped 30 lbs. What he told me was once you hit 45 you wake up every day with something else hurting and no idea why. He was so right. I'm still trying to imagine how he kept up with 25+ girls in his 80s?

ETA: depends on who you believe for his actual age at passing. Birth certificate lost to a church fire. He had to be younger to marry grandma so he dropped a few years in age. I suspect he was around 110 when he passed.

That is a very unique flower!

I showed hubby the one I had linked and it looks like we will add it next year.

It seems seeds have to be ordered. :hmm

I will look locally too.

That bright blue is very pretty too.
