I end up with all the bugs and critters, its a sanctuary at least in the front.
The back yard however is thunderdome.

only things that get sprayed are yellow jackets and poison ivy.. and that's only if it's close up... the other side of the creek is on it's own.

Living in town .

My neighbors on the opposite side from the true green people sprayed a ton of round up along the fence last summer. I lost 6 very large shrubs to that.
I have one unaffected shrub but all the rest have died in that row.
They were diabolo ninebark.

I would love to.
The sad fact is that soil is now toxic so replanting is out.

I may do some tall planters and annuals there.....
Of course I will anchor them to the ground.

I know a few people that had decorative planters out front and they were stolen.

The remedy for that, is to get HUGE planters and put rocks and a couple of bags of sackcrete in the bottom. Then drill drain holes out the side and fill the rest with dirt.

I was thinking that I could weld some rebar into a T shape and run it through the bottom then weld another piece on and set the lower into concrete.

I seem to have several pieces of 1/2" rebar hanging about.

Good morning! Already put the kids outside today, they were stuck indoors due to storms yesterday so they needed outside time BAD.
Don't know what is up with Susan my blue egg girl , two nights in a row she's slept with pretty much everybody and she's letting me touch her.
Keep in mind iv'e had her since 2016 lol!
