Hi.

I am sorry I've been gone.

How is everyone?

I've got a lot to tell but I wanna hear from y'all first.
Hi Smuv! We've missed you!

I've got about a month to go until my due date with Thing 2.

We are pretty close to moving into our new houses (~1500 sqft double wide for DH me and the kids, ~700 sqft single wide for my in-laws), but the power company is holding up AC install, water and septic from getting completely installed. We are really hoping to get moved in before baby arrives. I'm really excited that we'll both have our own spaces we are responsible for since my MIL doesn't really like to do anything cleaning wise.

What else.... Oh, I have guinea eggs in the bator. I'm going to sell what hatches since they are really in demand around here.

Oh and Thing 1 is becoming more of a little boy all the time. He's getting so big and talkative.

Good to see you!

I been wondering how you are, how PIC is, how the homestead is doing and hoping all is well.

It has been a long rough year it we are getting through it.

Bitty went broody so I got cute little Derpy Faverolle chicks for her.

We of course have sweet Sable we added and we got a little black and tan coon hound mix we named Tilly. She is a hoot!

All 4 dogs in the picture lol.

We lost Sparky our other big black dog the first of December. That was pretty rough.
We also lost our orange kitty Puddin. :(

I have been working hard to get the garden going. We finally assembled our small harbor freight greenhouse. It is working very well.

Are you going to be gardening this year?

Seriously missed having you here. :hugs

So of course I have a busy morning but find a limping chick.
It is breathing heavy but not as bad as in the video. Trying to get it to move stressed it I’m sure. (Yes I called the chihuahua over to get it moving)

I don’t really see or feel anything wrong with the leg. Maybe a bruise but I could be reaching for answers. Dropped some poly-vi-sol and nutri-drench in its beak. (Why not, right?) I did notice it stretches that leg quite a bit.

Have it in with the newest hatches. I’m sorta out of cages, brooders, boxes.... I’m hoping a little rest will help but I’m open to ideas!

I’ll try and update Smuv and PBM later. :th

You guys. I feel like it's been months since I posted.

My life in a nutshell:

I think I found my forever job. :) Been there a month+, started as a sub and they hired me fulltime, they love me/I love them, I'm making more money than my last two jobs, and best of all, it's 8 minutes from my house!!!! No more commuting. :)

I entered my first chicken show last weekend. Big Bird took 3 ribbons and we made the front page of the local paper!!! Photos to follow if you guys wanna see. I am now an official Crazy Chicken Person like on that documentary, lol!

Phoebe Buffay died--I can't remember if I posted that, it was a couple months ago, around when I lost my job, i think. It's OK. She was a weirdo and my least favorite chicken.

My two babies are 10 weeks old now, I think. They are both terrified of me. The buff d'Uccle is gorgeous. I have not been able to find many pics of this coloration on line at all so I'm thinking she's a little rare. Again, more pics to follow!

My sweet doggie Penny was sick but 800 bucks later and alot of chicken and rice and TLC, she is fine. :D

That's the quick and dirty! Missed you guys!!! Now to continue reading the 300+ posts left..... XO

With it breathing heavily, and no obvious signs of a slipped tendon, I think vitamins is the best you can do for this baby. It might just be failing to thrive.

Good still technically morning. Rainy and nasty here, about to put the kids in the run for the first time hopefully the terror stays at a minimum it should there is nothing in there but that dosent mean anything.
Sometime today iv'e got to get MIL a mother's day gift. I really don't want to between the weather and crowds and the fact she's a turd.
Welcome back to all our strangers.:)
