Good morning! Kids and Bob are fed, Marlene laid a double yolker off the roost so iv'e got a mess to clean unless it gets eaten.
Man it looks odd out there with the grass mowed, chickens like it though the bugs can't hide.:)
Gurtrude is scheduled for her spay next Tues. Hopefully everything goes ok, and she recovers well. I'm going to try and get them to let me come back and feed her later that day. I honestly don't trust anyone else to hand feed her cuz she will fight them. I know how to get her to eat without her getting hurt, and she'll have stitches at that point. :fl:fl:fl:fl
They probably will let you but she might not want to eat until the next day but it won't hurt to try.
She'll feel so much better not having to deal with egg problems.

Morning everyone.

All is well in chicken land here. I am still dealing with multiple broody butts. They are keeping me guessing on who will do it next.
Between recently broken broodies and freshly broody I am down to getting 6-8 eggs a day.

Dip & Dot are getting so big. :)
My blue and green layers are looking really good, combs are getting red so eggs should be soon from them.
:celebrate

I put potato chips (Lays with 50% less sodium than regular) on egg salad and tuna, I need that. Egg salad and tuna are so mushy. I like some "crisp" with it.
celery and onions add the crisp to mine :old

Lol, i'm glad I just have Lulu being broody...actually she's too much. :)
Crazy bird wants babies, love her but no.
Getting five girls in the first hatch is luck that normally does not happen here, we are not pushing it.:D

Today's broody monsters were more accepting of being kicked out of the nests.
That bunch went running outside clucking loudly and all kinds of puffed up.
:gig

Starting my day with a migraine today. I know it is because my meds are not ramped all the way up yet. My glucose was 235 this morning. :(

I will say I am feeling much better lately....not 100% but definitely noticing improvements.

I will push through it today. Yesterday I let the headache win. :hmm

My chores are piling up on me.

Hi folks.... I don't post a lot, but I do like to read a lot.... But do tell, what kind of trouble has my DH been getting into? :p
Glad you found us! You'll have lots to read. After some weekends I come back to 200+ posts.

Hmmm no thanks. I mean, the cheetos don't sound bad, though IDK how you'd fit that in your mouth w/o unhinging it like a snake. The cheese sauce and whatnot sounds gross. I don't like food on my food on a good day, but that's definitely excessive. Like those people who make 'thanksgiving leftover sandwiches' and put cranberry sauce on them. :sick [no offense to anyone here who does that, but.. ya gross]

Far too much stuff! How much crap can you fit in a doublewide? More than you think you can. We have only been here 3 years! Going to have to do some downsizing of crap that is really not worth moving . . .
Right? I had a doublewide when I left my husband. We lived there about 5 years and holy crap was there was lot of crap there. Didn't help that I had 2 toddlers at the time. Filled the front of my parent's garage and that wasn't a small garage. Hopefully you can get things moved over and get rid of some stuff in the process.

One of my sisters used to like bologna and cheese sandwiches with mustard, ketchup, relish, peanut butter, and jelly. No lie.

I concur with the other comments!
Did she not have taste buds? I have an aunt like that.. whatever is in the fridge ends up on her plate.

Sometimes we put potato chips on a sandwich. I like flamin' hot cheetos, I bet they would be good on a chicken sandwich. Next chicken salad sandwich, I'm trying it!:drool
Oh.. I do that too. Ham and cheese w/ regular chips is soooo good, til one of the pointy pieces impales your gums.

The ones I get are whole fish but no heads.
x2

Fish is friends. :)

No Finding Nemo fans?
I have a feeling that my chickens that eat frogs and toads whole would not agree.

I'm a grown adult who likes her cartoons. :) Glad someone else knows what I'm talking about. Otherwise I probably sound a bit wonky. :D
Every first day of school I go into my kids' bedroom and say First day of school! First day of school! I'm sure they're sick of it after 11 years, but I feel like if I didn't do it it'd be sad.

It was good. We had cupcake with candles and ice cream and presents here last night. We all had fun, but I over did it a bit.
Sounds like a nice bday. Hope you feel better.

I was thinking this was about a dog until I saw someone else's post. Hopefully everything goes well. How long will she be staying w/ the vet?

My egg count is dwindling too.. less broodiness & more molting. I have a couple I swear never finished their fall molt, they're just half covered in feathers w/ bald spots on their head. I hope your free loaders start laying soon.

Honestly I am ok with less eggs. I had been selling eggs but lots of customers found cheaper on craigslist. It doesn't bother me any.

Oooo maybe that means they're on the down end of it... Just kidding, they'll be back on the nest before you can blink.
I blame the crazy weather for me feeling crappy. Rain, rain and more rain for the rest of the week. Can't forget the humidity and heat too. It's just draining.
Hope you feel better today so you can get some stuff done.

Same. I've been getting 3-4 most days, the other day I dropped the bucket and broke all 3.. eh, whatever... I'm totally ok w/ less right now. I have 6 dz in my fridge and there's 2 dz in my work fridge. I'm going to hit up my fb friends to see if anyone wants some. I'm leaving for TN for a week and I need to clear them out before I go.

She does, but they were a bit wonky when she was younger.

We did have a nice time. I’m taking it easy today. We put on Toy Story for Thing 1 so I don’t have to chase him around while DH is out at the chiropractor.
