Back when my big dog was a puppy we got him and his brother a kiddie pool.

They enjoyed it to death.
They would run full speed around the kennel and the one in front would jump in the pool. Chase would end for a couple minutes then back at it like a crazy game of tag.
I recall looking for Sparky (110# dog) and not seeing him anywhere in the yard. Of course I sounded the alarm so everyone came out to help find him......he was laying in the pool with just his nostrils above water sound asleep.

Man how they loved that pool.

I think Nunny should get one.

Then when it is really hot, push the dog out and use it yourself! (Just kidding, the dog won't let you push him out).

Now is the time to get one, they're cheaper now that is after the 4th.
Some of those are pretty big and nice!
I don't even have a dog and iv'e been looking, for the chickens of course.
;)
I was ready to go buy one of those hard plastic kiddie pools for the dog. (So I could sit in it while she plays)

When I lived in the desert I made a "quail guzzler" just a dug out place with a bag of cement lining it to make a shallow pool for the birds and bees. Big hit with all wild life, I had to start emptying it at night to keep rats away from it!

I bet everything did really appreciate that little pool.
There is a small pond visible from my backyard, that is a big reason it is such a zoo here. :D

Mine jumps in the water dish! Maybe I will put her on leash and take her down by the river.
I have 2 smaller water dishes for just this reason!
She ran in one day from playing and started splashing the water all over the floor so she could lay in. Except my kitchen is the only place in the house with carpet! (Yes it's going as soon as I find tile)
