Girl you must have that mess carved in stone. You are upholding the hell out of that commandment! :lau
I honestly have no idea what is with the frizzle. It's more like a frazzle at this point. I booted it, its satin silky and barnavelder friend out to the coop when the death layers came. I originally kept the little one inside but when I had trouble with the death layers I took it out with the others. Eats drinks and poops... just isn't growing.
I really think Brutus is a boy. I hope that means I ended up with a boy and 3 girls. The other 3 death layers that survived are finally starting to get wing feathers. The Swedish Flowers are catching up in size quick!
If it lives here it has to be weird. One of the commandments on Flying Nun Farm.

@FlyingNunFarm just so you know, I’ve had several chicks that didn’t grow our normally. They usually end up dying for one reason or another before 1 year. Remember Tiny? I thought he was fine, but about 7 months he just died with no warning. Even if this chick doesn’t die, I would never hatch any eggs laid/fertilized by this bird.

It was a freebie. Injured barnavelder needed a companion and this was the smallest bird in the bunch. I didn't know it was going to stay the smallest bird! LOL

It does make sense to use them for poop, really for anything since they're free!
As for you being sick...Nunny come on! You hang out here,it is kind of a requirement. ;)
I started calling them that cause when I say urea I get a funny look. I was also using them for poop so it seemed fitting. LOL
I'm just sick like that I guess.:confused::gig

Well Beavis is healed, wound is closed she has new skin and feathers are starting.
She has a feather cyst right on top so she kind of looks like a unicorn, i'll pop it out in the morning.
It healed up nicely considering how nasty it was, girl was almost scalped so new feathers are awesome!
I was worried she was going to rock the Costanza forever. Poor girl, wish she wasn't so docile or at least would run! :D

My growth challenged frizzle is still growth challenged. It has 3 feathers growing out of the top of its head but still chick fuzz everywhere.

King Brutus (on the left) surveying his kingdom. 9 out of 10 times he's on top of the heat plate. If that's not a boy I'm not a crazy chicken lady!

I have only one bird that is solid white. 5% of the time she looks drop dead gorgeous. The rest of the time she is dirty disreputable and spotted with unknown substances. Currently she is purple gray from a mix of blu kote (that I applied) and ash from the fire pit (she applied that herself. Liberally).
