Think i'm going to not answer anymore questions today. The crazy/lazy/unsupervised child/childish adult is super thick.
You know it is bad when i'm saying it.:D
I'll stay in here, we are those things but in a good way.:lau

I saw that thread and backed away slowly. :lau

Don't eat them. Hatch them ALLLLLL. :hmm

Lol, did you see my maths? :gig
Oh, and there is the person that has a hen with obvious laying problems ex battery and near death and they haven't checked her vent because she dosent have all the "signs" lordy.:th

Need some advice, guys.

My new little d'Uccle, Arya, has been sitting alot over the past week. Since yesterday I noticed she's been limping on her left foot. (She's about 4-5 months or so and has not started laying yet, as far as I can tell.) I gave her leg and foot a good going-over and do not see or palpate any swelling, instability, etc. She is eating and drinking and none of the other chickens are lame. I isolated her and her big sister (inseparable) Hedwig in the hospital/broody coop just now, with lytes, vitamins, and probiotics in her water. I feel so bad, have any of you guys had this happen? I went to the poultry symptom checker and looked at everything it could possibly be.

What do you think? Should I give her something for pain? If it was broken I would think there would be swelling, but there isn't. Maybe slipped tendon?

Thanks! XO

I saw the math! One thing though.......if we hatch them all and then they grow and breed and we hatch them all....

Tribbles anyone? :th

I couldn't even look at the eggbound hen thread. :(

Seriously the time to catch the issue is before death.
