We don't close school for snow ever. We close school the day after a storm because it doesn't stay snow. The snow here melts just enough to turn everything into a glacier of ice. The roads turn into a ice skating rink. Then the next day it's cobblestone ice all over the roads. Then the next two days it's like driving in a slurpy or a frozen margaritaI've heard that in some places in the south they close school at the first snowflake.
My son likes watching snow fall. You see a few of the flakes in the picture. This is before it got cold enough to stick.
