Official Squatch Watchers

I hope @Redhead Rae's little milkdrinker lets her get some Rest today.
How is her toe?
Jammed/broken/sprained things always hurt so bad the second day, especially toes, and since she was up working all night the chance of her icing it and keeping it elevated was probs close to nil.
I hope so too. I've been up all night working and I'm not quite done yet. I'll feed him after I finish work and hand him off to Grandma if he doesn't fall asleep.

My foot still hurts like crazy, but I feel better than I did yesterday. My system was kinda shocky after it happened. But feeling well recovered now.

I hear you Stacey. I have to be in the mood to clean. Since becoming a stay at home mom (12 years ago!!!) being a daily house cleaner is not something I enjoy! I have always been a nurse, my first job was in the nursing home when I turned 16. My identity has always been “nurse” of some sort. Nursing Assistant, Home Heath Nurse, Med-Surg RN, Oncology RN, GI RN. I struggled hard for 8 years with that when I stopped working. I have lost motivation for myself and not even sure who I have become. I have become a brain full of mush! Lots of other bumps along the way in my personal life too. Anyway, I guess life is all about change and we move on. Anyway, got to get ready. I am running a hour behind.

GAH.

It is amazing how annoying some little thing your kid normally does will grate on your nerves like nails on a chalkboard. My son is happily playing by himself but he is incessantly clicking his tongue. It feels worse than when I'm trying to work while he is sitting in my lap trying to bang the keyboard.

Of course, it is probably the lack of sleep talking.

I had a mango that the pit had started to sprout.

Did you plant it? Once we planted starfruit seeds and forgot about them on my mom's fridge. They grew pretty well, but when I tried to separate them out in to a bigger pot they all died.

Is there snow where y'all are
According to the news we got about 8 inches here. It was a balmy 6° this morning and ~4° in the coop. We're supposed to get up around 27° later today. I'm hoping there's a good bit of sun to warm the coop. When sun set yesterday they were about 32°, but then they were down to 20° by 9pm. I moved Odin out of his jail and let him be w/ the ladies after I put some No Pick on his tail. This morning I put him back in b/c I saw a couple messing w/ his tail. I'll probably take him out again tonight just so he can be a little warmer. I need to make his outside door smaller so less wind blows in on him at night.

Good morning, peeps! I am now "Overrun With Chickens," yay! (like I got some kind of reward, lol.)

Gotta get ready for work. I am not gonna lose my sh*t today. Cuz--in the immortal words of Stuart Smalley--I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and people like me,,,(at least, you guys do!) Y'all have a good day, and see ya around 3-ish! **MWAH!**
Speech Speech Speech!

I totally know what you mean! My kids will randomly start clogging.. at home, in the store, in the parking lot, EVERYWHERE. It's cute most of the time b/c it shows they really love it, but sometimes it's just like STOP. BE NORMAL. CAN'T YOU JUST STAND STILL?!

Good morning crazy chicken people!!!
:frow:frow:frow:frow

Just curious @TexasSam why dont yall drive the birds?
Its really not that bad of a drive.. we drive it everytime we come and go from florida.. we take the southern route through TX (around dallas) . Or even each half way wouldnt be bad.. that way your birds dont get as stresed out.

Ok peeps.
Put your thinking caps and aprons on!

I've been asked to come up with some meals for a friend's inlaws while the MIL
Recovers from major surgery.
Fil isn't well versed in the kitchen so easy things that can be frozen ahead and warmed up are best.

All organic is a must.
Lots of protein for healing.
And the MIL is an incredible cook herself and kind of a "foody" food snob , so that will make it a tough assignment, if you choose to accept it.

Anybody up to helping me?
