That isn't spoiling.
That is a balanced diet...just like mine lol!
It is scary how similar!
Oh I remember the cheese danish nightmare, i'd need therapy if I dreamt of a danish I didn't get to eat.:gig

How many actually squeezed on the roost?
You know iv'e got 3 at least 6' long roosts and another connecting those 3 but most of them still squish up on 1 roost?
The small coop side has a 4' roost always empty, they'd rather squish up.
I say you probably got a B. :)

It had 13 out of 15 that normally are on those roosts. :lau
I now understand SUMO. The dark Brahmas were the two trying to get up there when I went out. I thought something was in the coop with the birds from all the racket. Nope. Just a Brahma getting up there and knocking Australorp off. :hmm

The looks I got.

Duke dog proof traps are so much better than cage traps. Bait them without setting them for a few days/a week and one night, set them.
That's what I was thinking too. Marshmallows to prevent getting cats ... But I think there are some rules that the pro trappers for nuisance wildlife have to use box traps. This issue is at my next door neighbor's deck..
the next neighbor had her son come out and have a conibear for ground hogs digging under her shed...
the neighbor past her feeds the wildlife :gig which is probably why they haven't bothered my turkeys that have insisted in roosting in the trees at night.

Good morning! Everybody is out and fed. My deer is either out early or stayed out late, either way she's out there.
Pretty deer, kind of weird when im just expecting to see Bob.:)

Ha! They did pretty good then.
Lordy, I can only imagine Brahma sumo!
I bet it is loud lol! :D

They sound like bowling balls getting dropped every morning. It is frightening!
I cannot imagine having them roost over 2' high.

For whatever reason I woke up grumpy.....next time I will let him sleep. :lau

Kim layed again, she skipped yesterday.
I weighed her eggs finally, they are both whopping 35g so just a hair over peewee.
I'm amazed how Rene's genetics pretty much dominated lol!
Got my bantams despite hubs saying no bantams.:gig

:woot For tiny eggies!!

Nanner bread is in the oven. One loaf with nuts one without.
A pot of ham and beans is bubbling away.

Dogs are napping, birds are birding and there is an old cat in my lap.
All is well in my world now. :D

By the way it smells amazing in here.:drool

I got a D- in coop cleaning. :(

I cleaned it all BUT I did not reset the removable roosts. They were stacked.
That 8' length had 15 birds trying to roost on it.

The issue has been corrected. That's the ONLY reason it went from an F to a D-.
It's amazing what they do. I have a 8' roost and about 4 birds on it, 1-2 under it, 1 on a trash can, 1 on the wall. One in a nest box (everyone's mean to her if she tries to sit on the roost. Another 4' roost that has 5 on or under it. IDK WHYYYYYY they can't all just sit ON the 8' roost. There's plenty of space for them all.

I've never considered them freeloaders, as they are so much more than breakfast contributors. I understand, though, and yes, it's really nice to be able to get excited about eggs again.
Maybe freeloaders is a bit harsh... moochers is more accurate. Constantly begging for food and treats. I come out w/ a bucket of water and I have 14 birds coming at me clucking "Mine. Mine. Mine." Like the birds from finding nemo.

Ohh, banana bread! Last I had I mixed cream cheese and a little honey made a spread and OMG!
I'm tickled over my little eggs.
It also makes me happy to know Rene is actually genetically small and her size isn't a hatchery fluke.
Makes me worry less about her being little.:)
