Good gravy, 18 and still laying when she can...poor thing is right!
Birds get the sh*t end of the stick as much as we do, poor birds.:(
I went out to count heads and everybody looks ok except for Lulu, she's puffed up under a tree pouting.
Girl does not like cold weather, never has despite being the poofiest out there.
She gets downright antisocial lol!
Hobo was on the nest and shot me a look that was just pure evil, that hen is over me and my nest peeking.
I do not fish eggs out from under her, I wait patiently only took one time to teach me too.
I know she's pleased.😒

She did not ever lay until she was 11. :th
She was bought as a male. It was quite a shock when she started laying. After her third egg was laid she had issues. She had fallen to the bottom of her cage and got a wing caught. Yup she broke it, bone sticking out and all of that freaky carp. I moved her to a different cage that has a solid bottom so no wire grid to do that again. I had to research how to make them stop laying. It turns out they will lay and lay and lay until their body quits working.

It is super dreary out with zero attempts by the sun to show it's face. I have been staying in and doing housework. :tongue

I drank a Pepsi zero.....no do not think I like it. Made my stomach hurt. I had not drank a soda in a very very long time.

There are so many things I need to get done and to many dogs WAY to interested in what I am doing. I still don't trust them outside unattended.

Cockatiels are weird period.
I had one live to 20, laid one wonky egg at im thinking 12ish and never again.
Sweet bird, I raised it but just not right at all....hopefully not my fault, although I do sense a trend in my bird babies of all kinds. :D
Oh lord sodas aren't my freind either, the diet ones in particular so I aim for the old school if I must have one.
Seriously the artificial sweeteners just hate me, and the bubbly part does me no favors either.
I swear, you have to be more on alert than an actual day care with all those pups.
My day is shot too, hubs left at 3pm not 8 or 9am like his coworkers.
I wish he wouldn't do that, not just for my schedule.
One day if not already the ones that don't get to do that are going to get miffed and cause problems.

I have no idea how long this cockatiel will live. She doesn't seem old.....yet.

Yeah I think I will avoid the sodas going forward. :sick

I do see how others could get miffed if they have to be there early and your hubs has flexibility.

Mine would have lived longer, she committed fireworks suicide she didn't keel over.
Im actually surprised nobody has yet or at least that he knows about.
He works with petty, dramatic people a whooole bunch of them so its miraculous.
He's done it for years, and he isn't a manager or anything he is just good at a bunch of stuff "he has good spots, just in odd places".:p
Now he's getting the Germany trip I fully expect a poop storm.

Im dusting pictures and framing things mom kept.
Im going to clutter up some naked walls lol!
I found my grandfather's taxi license.
He wasn't much bigger than me.:lau
I never met him, he passed when my dad was five.
I didn't meet the step one either and grandma didn't marry again she just got a bunch of dogs and said Pat crow it. ;)
Anyways, I thought it was cool.

That is a pretty cool find Chicky!
I love the history behind things like that....lost treasures found again.

I made a very low carb dinner.....so I could have some apple crumble afterwards. It is in the oven now. :D

Oh yum! I love crumb desserts!
Sooo good with coffee or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I thought it was cool, there aren't many photos of him so finding that full on face shot was really nice.
He looks veeeeery Irish, very, very Irish. :)
And I found a very young great gran on mom's side, already framed.
She is the one im told I resemble pretty strongly too. She must have been a ripper, everybody who said it stays extremely far away.🤭

She was a very pretty lady Chicky! I think looking like her would be quite alright.

The crumble came out very tasty. :p I cut the recipe in half so I can avoid a week of tempting leftovers.
