Morning everyone.

With the Covid being in my town hubs is now taking it more seriously.
Today I have to go to the bank. After that I will TRY to find hand sanitizer for him and the other drivers. They work with the public....no way around it.
If I cannot find any I think I have some Aloe and alcohol.
Disinfecting wipes? I doubt I will find any. :(

Be safe my friends. :hugs
Oh wow.. I hope you're all staying safe out there. Good luck w/ the sanitizer. It doesn't exist here either even though the plant that makes it isn't far away. You can't even find alcohol anywhere. As soon as stores get stuff in it's already gone. Thankfully I've long bought food that my kids never eat so we won't starve to death, though they won't be happy eating some of it.

I bought a gallon of hand sanitizer before all this started, to take to swaps with me. I bet if I took it to a swap now, someone would steal it.
Are they still doing those? Here weren't not allowed to have more than 10 or 50 ppl in a gathering.. I can't remember which & I typically avoid both so it doesn't matter to me.

I've avoided the stores mostly because I know they are crazy or empty of products or both. I wish they would just close everything and be done with it. One of my accounts has gone to work from home with essential personnel in building only. With a dozen people in the building they still managed to use every toilet. 🤦‍♀️ My other main account has gone bleach crazy. While I was trying to stop my face melting off cleaning door knobs I hear a guy coughing. 🤬🤦‍♀️ I realize that it doesn't mean he has it but come on! My eyes are damn near bleeding from the fumes and I'm coughing in my mask but this guy comes to work. I know most people affected by shut downs will get some pay but I'm not sure if I qualify for that or not. My feed store said they don't plan on shutting down. I got my usual 2 bags of food. Most stores aren't letting you shop online currently. I haven't really figured that out. If we aren't supposed to go out why not ship it right to us? Makes more sense.
I do see irony in the fact that most people are online all the time but now find being stuck at home an issue. Online shopping was killing the store experience but now being in store could be deadly, so everyone rushes to the store. ?!?!
I swear this is why the aliens have stayed away.
👽🛸👽🛸
Happy to hear you're doing ok even w/ the face melting.. do people not realize bleach needs diluted? I totally get your thing about the guy coughing. Before my work closed any time someone coughed or sneezed we all felt the need to explain that our we had a cold & not covid.

:frow Morning everyone.

We are expecting snow tomorrow and Friday.
As if you're not dealing with enough down there. I hope Ruby's doing ok...

@rjohns39 Are they shutting down stuff there? I read a thing that said they're not doing any "social distancing" in TN.

Not sure if the swaps will all be canceled until further notice.

Just about every day they're closing down more stuff. Today was tattoo parlors, barbershops, salons & spas. The gov said they aren't going to close stores. The local store didn't open til 1 b/c they wanted to stock the shelves after the delivery came. There was about 30 people waiting when they opened & just about everything was gone immediately. It's unbelievable.
Today the Gov just mandated that employers check the temp of every employee every day before they're allowed to work. I expect more places will close over the next few days. Most people who can are working from home. I have a friend who's a director of a library in western OH who cannot get her board to close the library. They've limited hours, but are still open. Most of their employees are older & the younger one is pregnant. People LOVE coming to libraries sick. We were really lucky our boss closed when he did. The other 2 libraries in our county didn't decide to close until Sunday, but gave our director a hard time when he decided on Friday to close.
The kids got a list of stuff to choose from for the 9 missed school days. Their teachers are already talking about the likelihood that they won't be going back on the 6th so they'll get other things to do at that point.

Good morning folks :frow

So far, Schools are closed, day cares and headstart close today. Lots of places are choosing to close. But nothing further on the radar.

Morning everyone. :frow

We are all good. I am hoping everyone else is too.

I was able to make hand sanitizer using the link Bob posted. Luckily I get bad sunburns (that seems an odd thing to be glad about :hmm).....so had Aloe in a big jug and alcohol already in the cabinet.

Snow and cold for the next couple days here.

It does seem people are staying home here. Normally while hubs is on call he gets nearly nonstop calls all night. There was only 1 call at 4am and it was STUPID a road service company like AAA wanted to schedule a tow for 8am. Seriously!

:frow Good morning Henny, have a great day and try to stay warm. I suppose it would have killed them to wait for a more reasonable hour to make the call.

Here's some cuteness to brighten your day. I had one of my EE eggs hatch and another one is pipped, we'll have to wait on the other 3, the shells are too dark to candle.

I think it is a Dark Cornish/EE, although I thought this egg was from my mother's EE that was with a New Hampshire Roo. That wild type down and those thick legs make me think Fat Daddy is the daddy.

I haven't hatch any out of "Steve" , but those legs look stout.

Steve is more interested in food than girls. He is in with a dz girls and his step dad. I have seen him mate and if the hen doesn't complain the step dad doesn't stop him. Step dad was a ft away and just watched him... which I thought was strange...
I put Steve in a run with 9 hens and he was just worried about how to get out. Never looked at the girls, but did eat. He didn't go into the coop so I let him out to go back to his old coop. Only 4 of those hens were laying so I figured he gets another chance later
