Official Squatch Watchers

Neither one screams boy to me yet. The black barring is wider which makes me think pullet, but i'm not sure. I think another week or two would help.
It is very early I know. The differences between birds are pretty subtle at this point and it is hard to capture some of them in photos. But in person Hansel does have the largest comb and the most white on his wings. Here is a pic of Sugar (top) and Hansel (bottom). I mean, I would love it if Hansel was a pullet. I just am convinced that by lavishing so much love and attention on him for his first week of life....we doomed him to maledom. :gig

You too Bob.

It should be sunny here. I am going to try and get the ducks some good outside time today.
Sounds awesome. Supposed to be the same here but was raining when I got up. So unsure what the day will bring.

Good morning Folks :frow

:woot Are you going to use them to catch rain water for the birds?
Just trying to divert water away from the coop. That side is the run so there is not a plant in sight to drink any water up. The roof dumps water down that side so bad the coop floods. I’m hoping this at least helps. Next will be a trench.

Good morning Peeps!

Look at my new babies! They have red face masks. They also have some small, irregular black spots on their necks/backs.

I wonder what the red masks will end up being:pop

I move Steve last night in the roo less coop. About an hour after I let them out he was at the fence trying to figure how to get back to the old coop. A cockerel and a jake decided to take turns trying to get him through the fence. Between that and the north wind he went back to the new to him coop. He was first in line to grab scrambled eggs and took some away from hens and they let him. :idunno
