found a 1yr old chicken hen dead in the nest box last night. She had a slight prolapse. She looked fine in the am.
She was one I was thinking of selling before winter anyway.

Good morning everyone.

We got the wrong weather. It rained, hailed, and rained more overnight. It is still raining out there. Crazy wind with whatever they call this kind of storm.

I don't think I will be watering today.
Still dark so I don't know if my garden survives but most of it is fairly protected by fence, building or greenhouse.

The garden took some damage but should recover. Spinach is shredded but I am pulling it very soon anyway. Peppers have holes in the leaves but that may force massive growth.
Small branches and a lot of leaves got knocked out of the trees. Messy but not total destruction.

All the ducks and chickens don't seem phased by all that overnight noise.
