Official Squatch Watchers

Look at the head markings on this cutie! If it weren’t for the beard and coming out of a green egg I would almost think it was a keet. Thing 1 thought it was. Though he is fuzzy on the distinction between chicks/keets at the best of times.

Good evening folks... Sue had a sleepy day today. they're going to run her through another MRI sometime tonight. When she sits up for any length of time she get's severe headaches. So they've been drugging her up and keeping her laying at about 30* so she sleeps a lot.

Good morning Bob. :frow

It is very important that you stay healthy. Sue needs you healthy. Eat, take your vitamins and get rest when you can.
How are your kids holding up with everything?

Thinking of you, Sue and your extended family. Stay strong Bob. :hugs

Welcome. :frow

We may be a bunch of weirdos but we are the best weirdos around.
:frow Hi Henny, hope you have a great day. I'm doing my best.
As an ex-Californian, I did that long commute thing for years and it is a killer. I was young then, too! You end up doing a lot of things in your car, like eating breakfast and that #2 cup of coffee. I listened to tapes of my college classes to make use of the time and take my mind of of road rage at being stuck behind a million jerks trying to cut each other off! Auto-feeders with a lot of feed, big water containers and several of them was the only way I had my chickens. Every day of the week it was dark when I left and dark when I got home all winter. At least you are so tired that you sleep like a rock! We are all wishing you the best!
Parront, I left on time today and it took me 30 minutes to navigate 40... My arrival time here was fine, but poor highway design is painful.

:frow So cute...

Hope that she keeps improving. The need to get on the road before the wave of traffic is very real! Sometimes I knew that I had missed that time and I would get of the freeway and go eat dinner. The drive time is less after the wave. I would get home at about the same time, but having already eaten.:th

🙏 for the MRI to come out showing nothing unexpected or major.

Those sleepy meds are pretty important even if the extra sleeping is worrying. :hugs
Keep doing what you can Bob.

I like it when she's lucid and we can talk. I get why they want to keep her sedated. I just don't like it.

It is super scary I know. :hugs
Sedated is like they are there.....but not there at the same time.

Did day 4 candling and not looking good so far. I'll check again in a few days but looks like 50% or more have no development and I only saw a little bit of blood vessel development on a couple. Less than I would have expected. I'll check again on day 7. Hope to get a few out of the batch.
I never candle on day 4 . No point.

Are you sure it isn't? It seems to have orange feet!
Positive. I had no guinea eggs in the lockdown bator this week. It was the first to hatch and it came out of a green EE egg. The only other possibility is that it is a guinea/EE hybrid, but I think the incubation would have been 24ish days. Not 21 on the nose.
