Official Squatch Watchers

I gave that chick to my mom’s broody to raise earlier tonight. She’s been sitting for ages and is skin and bones. We were going to give her a Cornish and this EE baby but when my mom went to grab the eggs for me to candle she had a baby! Only one of her other eggs is viable and it hasn’t pipped yet. So I gave the EE chick to the hen and brought the jubilee Cornish baby back. I want the hen to have at least two babies.

First day I caught more than one coon. Caught 4 babies :hit I don't like dispatching babies. 2 in 2 dp and 2 in one box trap...no digging around the box trap, so I am wondering what happened to the mom... I haven't caught a nursing female

Single chicks don't seem to be socially well adjusted. All but one of mine have been cockerels and they went to freezer camp. The pullet never fitted in and I sold her the next spring.

I've never had a single baby, except for Robinson, and that was only for a week. He seems to be well adjusted. He's so protective of the other babies. I think I might make him a main flock rooster. He isn't, sad to say, breeding material. He has a hump in the middle of his back. It isn't a deformity, but it isn't Cornish standard. Their backs should be a smooth line down their back to the tail and the tail should be pointing downward.

Mama still has her original baby and the EE baby!

Good morning folks :frow

We quit after we had a few bare days after catching a couple of littles. I'd leave the traps out for a few more days and then if you don't catch anything, put them away.
