A judge is a nice all purpose revolver. Not only does it take .45 long rounds but it takes 410 shotgun shells.

Yeah, my dad has one. Yes, it's loud and kicks pretty good. However, it isn't that bad because of how well the grip is designed. My dad has a lot of hand guns I don't like using because their grip just hammers my wrist. The Judge isn't bad at all.

If you don't like a .22 rifle or how the judge sounds, you might be able to get a .22 revolver

I have a .357 revolver and if you use the .357 ammo it is very loud but you can use the .38 ammo and it's not to bad because it's sub-sonic.

That is what I thought, Loud! We have a revolver -- a .38 and it is too loud for in town. The plan is put five holes in the bad guy that comes in the house, then call 911. I kind of like .22 rifles.

My 357 sounds like a dang cannon lol!

I have a .357 revolver and if you use the .357 ammo it is very loud but you can use the .38 ammo and it's not to bad because it's sub-sonic.

I think my .357 is louder than any of my rifles lol
I also have a 40cal pistol that is loud but when compared to shooting the .357 with .357 ammo it's no contest as to which is louder lol





Side note. Saw a momma bear and two cubs two nights in a row crossing the road less than a mile from my house. Hoping they don't get in my peach trees or tare into anything.

Bears can sense electricity. If you know there are bears around I would get some e-netting or hot wire.

I had a .22 revolver but the rightful owner came to claim it. I really should look into replacing it. I'd like for dispatching predators if need be and having it in the house just made me feel better. I realize it's not exactly the deadliest of weapons but it would hurt like hell till I grabbed my cast iron griddle and clubbed the intruder.
