Official Squatch Watchers

We have a few falcons but I've only seen 3-4 around here in my life. Bald eagles are more common than the falcons. what we see the most though is red tail hawks and that is what has preyed on my chickens in the past. Right now 🤞 I've not seen any around the area I live. So I can let them out without being super vigilant. 4ish years ago (last time I had chickens) I had one that almost got my little dog and it did get about 4 chickens. I was standing there one day and it did less than 29 feet from me. It was a big New Hampshire Red rooster though so it couldn't take off with it. I ran over and was able to free the chicken from it and that rooster lived but after that I stopped letting them out. Shortly after I have them all away.
I have plans for a chicken tractor design I am watching to try next spring though.
Also thinking about something big for the quail but I'm not sold on it yet. Thinking about building a quail shed if I decide to raise a lot more for meat.
I like that I can go inside this one. But next one is going to be short for easy moving. I do like the chain link rails I used, though. Slide on the grass and will not rot. Wood does not last long here before it is full of bugs.

The Coop that my chicken stay in 90% of the time is 16'x8' and 10' to the top of the roof. I love it but my God is it heavy. Can't really be moved and I also fixed a wire skirt into the ground all the way around it. They just don't have any access to fresh grass and many bugs. I let them out 2-4hrs most days when I can into the fenced in yard.

What I'm thinking about is something like this I have seen in here before. (Sorry can't remember who's this is.)

She is still an active member. I bet if you sent her a pm she would let you know how hard or easy it is to move.

I can see why you like it, very nice. Looks like it could move, but too heavy for me! The truck in the photo is what I would need.
