Henny, I'm pretty well convinced that the influx of hummers here are migrating. Throughout the year I might have 6 or 8 total regulars. I'm thinking right now we have close to two dozen or more. I counted nine at the feeder in the video and walked around the corner and there were more at the other feeder and I could see them going crazy through the trees. I'm sure many were repeats, but I've never seen that many here at one time and they're all girls. My boys left last week sometime. I read that the boys migrate first and the girls follow. I normally have 2-3 boys here, but never saw an increase in boys... Just one day last week they quit coming to the feeder. Typically, I have two girls to each boy, sometimes three. If the hawks and hummers are starting to migrate south, I'll have song birds here next week. This is way early for a migration. I don't normally see it until October, maybe November.
Our weather has been so hot and dry, no monsoon rain until yesterday, The animals here have moved to higher ground or North for food. All except the crows and falcons who are permanent year-round residents.

That means early snows/wet weather I think.
We have canadian geese moving through a full month early here.
Brace for a bad winter......

Farmers almanac said wet and not snowy in upper Midwest
:frow Good afternoon Mo, hope you've had a great day.

I'm a believer in the farmer's almanac, but I'm learning every day and what I'm seeing is really weird. Next week will tell the tail. If the song birds show up, then the north is facing a cold winter.

Lunchtime here! Having a little more rain today. No BBQ for dinner tonight.

Small beans compared to Dr Bronner's revenge but these chicks are the biggest jerks to the saint of a woman who feeds them.
They've taken to hanging off the ends of my hair like pitbulls when I reach in the brooder.
Little known fact, they're heavy.
I see a bald, fingerless future waiting just for me.

Little tickle shark has no relevance but I was on Pinterest and he popped up for sale.
Im going to have one and im going tickle it.
Ok, first soap explodes in your eye and now there’s a tickling shark?! Wow! You live a very interesting life.
Did your neighbor boy like his planets, etc? I bet it made his day.

I've had several stupid biking incidents when I was young. I stuck my foot in the spokes of the front wheel. I was trying to imitate something I saw other kids do by making a noise with my shoe. Not actually stick my foot in the tire. Well, I flipped the bike over the front tire with myself on it. Nothing broken but I was scratched up and bruised.
I had a no handed accident too. Was at a house down the street and we made some paintings. I wanted to bring the ones I did home so got on my bike with one painting and had the girl I was with hand me the second. I got going and all was good till it was time to stop. I hadn't thought that far ahead. And instead of ditching the paintings and braking I crashed, into two pine trees. Paintings were ruined anyway and I was scratched up and full of sap.
My sister and I would run into trees on purpose. I don’t really remember why, but it seemed like fun at the time. Let’s see. Somewhere around 6 I had a bike with pedals that kept moving as long as the bike was moving. Bad design flaw. We lived at the bottom of a pretty steep hill. I rode all the way to the top sat down and away I went. I made it about halfway when I veered off onto the gravel shoulder. Busted hand is all I remember from that one. Next one, I was maybe about 8 and went down a different, and steeper hill in town, and missed the sharp turn ending up in someone’s gravel parking area. Shredded shin(s). Don’t remember much from that one. Must’ve hit pretty hard. Some time in between those two I was speeding to the pool and wiped out on some gravel trying to make a turn in front of a car. I feel SO bad for that poor driver now. LOL! I got up very quickly and took off. I do have a non-bike one - my brother and I were jumping off a wall into giant piles of sand left by a construction crew. I missed. Tooth through lip and busted chin. Almost forgot about superman! I was swinging on my stomach and let go of the swing. Somehow I ended up flipping out of it and into the sand pile that wasn’t terribly clean. I ended up being given some weird cream to put on my now shredded temple that looked silver after it was on my face, but yellow in the jar. Not great for a 6th grader! But it had a great gross out factor! In my senior year of high school we went to an amusement park. Don’t dive in the wave pool! Thankfully a friend insisted I go to the first aid station. Especially after at least one adult looked at me and said Ew! Gross! Ok, really? A kid’s in the pool and bleeding, shouldn’t you try to get them help? Now that I’m a parent I realize how serious my injuries were with most of these. I guess they didn’t know, or care, much about concussions!

Good morning! I think it rained a little bit last night lol.
I left some afhgans on the clothesline overnight and they were wetter than when I strung them up.
Free second wash cycle! :woot

Apparently there is a magical temperature and humidity that solidifies it in the pump.
When some unsuspecting idiot "me smh lol" pumps it pressure builds until a soap missile shoots out with unexpected velocity.
The warning is a little smaller than this.
The soap is tea tree oil heavy and having it in my eyeballs was a new experience....don't reccomend it.
It stabby pains with a secondary burning sensation and it looks like you live in a Vaseline jar for about half an hour.

I cussed myself hoarse, im fine otherwise.:caf
I have never seen that on their bottles. There is a lot of writing on those labels though. Maybe they should make it a wee bit bigger. You could suggest it to them. Maybe do it again and call while in that state of mind so they get the message. Just kidding! (obv)

:frow Good morning Fishy, Wow what a terrible start to the day.:hugs Try so very hard to have a great day.
Thanks. ☺
All in all it was an okay day. Much better than my dog’s day. She didn’t want to go out until it was time for me to go back from lunch. Usually dh comes home right around that same time. Apparently not today. She met me in our driveway 5 hrs later. Of course it was in the 90’s again and she had no water. She’s 14 or 15 and doesn’t eat half her food. She seems okay now though. I just feel so bad 😢

Pretty straight forward, you sign up (I have a basic membership) and when you setup your profile, identify what you have and sell. I've gotten way more foot traffic through them than anywhere else. You'll get frequent mailings, mostly asking for money and you'll have access to their research and technical support. If you want to have a booth at Mother Earth News Fairs, you can generally get one for free as a member.

I use their logo on all of my labels that are appropriate. Few people know what that is but it's a great talking point and people who buy eggs feel more invested supporting rare breeds. I had fairly good luck selling heritage turkeys, but again it took some explaining and marketing. Before we were two people, I would process and sell mixed breeds and those that didn't make the cut and preserve the best breeders to hatch and sell poults. My preference for an eating turkey is the red bronze, so I would hatch out 20-30 of those every year and put them in the freezer for sale.

Thanks for the info!
