How would that help? Sounds like you are getting less space

Yes and no. It is smaller but only one door to deal with.
Plus....shed is in the shade. I still would have the section of the big coop as additional space.

You should get the workshop unless he actually uses it.

I think if he had the shop.....which is attached to the garage.....it could ease the congestion in the garage which is just a single car garage.

Even with all the problems getting the single wide caused for us (we can't get out of our adjustable rate mortgage because conventional mortgage companies can't consider the single wide in the value of the property, so we have to pay down our mortgage amount about 25-30k before we can refinance) it has been a sanity saver to have them (mainly her) in a separate house.

I am with you on that sanity saver for sure.

I hope she can understand that you, your husband and the kiddos are a young family and really truly need your space and time to be respected.

I can relate to having limited internet. Our service would send us notices if we went over. If we went over 3 times, we got bumped up to the next higher cost service plan -- $10 higher bill for at least 6 months. What a money maker for the ISP. But for peace in a family not so high a price to pay. What is the next higher plan, she wants to pay for it anyway. I ended up getting the next higher plan since we have the AirBnB & it is supposed to come with higher speed, too. I have run the speed test, it is not faster. But I do not get notices anymore.

She has her own internet plan and bumping with satellite isn't that simple. I have to re-up my contract to do it I believe (adding two years to the term). I'm not doing that for 2.5 days. If I remember correctly it was around $65 more a month. If I remember correctly, my contract is up in may/june next year. I want the option to switch plans then if possible.

Good morning, 'Watchers!
:frow Good afternoon Parront, have a great day.

Rae, I totally understand. As much as we loved having the kids here, it is very nice to have our space back and no more internet challenges. When we first moved here, best we could get was DSL. The Grandson was home schooling and I was working, so no one else could use the internet for heavy loads until one of us could step away. On the good news front, they've finally run fiber out here and I now have a 1GB circuit with no competing traffic.

I WISH I had DSL. We don't even have cell coverage. My next step might be to run a cell signal repeater to funnel signal down to the house. I have to climb 100ft up the hill (vertically) behind our house to get cell signal. It would be nice because I could use my phone as a hotspot when we couldn't get satellite.

I looked into Cell repeaters, but my climb would have been 700' and close to a mile to get there. Thankfully we could get DSL and I put cell repeaters in the house connected to the DSL. Now my fiber circuit. But I still have issues with AT&T from time to time. They claim the box isn't in my house because they think my house is a quarter mile up the hill where the old homestead used to be. If you do a standard google search for my address, that's where it puts the pin in the map.

High speed lines are about a mile away from our house. So, getting them run back here isn't cost effective for the cable companies. We'll probably have to get a second service once the kids are older so they can use it for home school, IF we don't get a better solution back here by then.
Once they got within a mile of my house, their first offer was that if we could get four houses to sign up, they'd run it. There's only 5 houses here and three don't use internet. Somehow my neighbor finally convinced them to run it. I'm so grateful.

A few years back, WV added that access to high speed internet was a "right" according to the state constitution. But the company that won the bid for the contract to put it everywhere WAY underbid and went bankrupt. The state is still trying to sue them so no real progress has been made.
