I put about 3 cups of citric acid in 50-60 ish gallons of water in the tub.I will have to try that on the rust stains in the old sink in the bunkhouse, I have been working on it with comet. Little by little it has faded, not gone though.

The old sink has a brass drain so I have been avoiding acids like CLR. The Magic Eraser sounds good, though!I put about 3 cups of citric acid in 50-60 ish gallons of water in the tub.
Maybe I will put it on a rag and put the wet rag on the stains. It is an old sink.Ah, my drain is nickle. The metal comes clean really quick with the acid water. You might want to just try spraying the stains with the acid and protecting the drain while it soaks for a bit. It shouldn't have a problem if you rinse it past quickly.
Wow, that makes my plan seem pretty lame! Pallet over our french drain with a big dog dish on top. Fresh warm water from the house in freezing weather. But, we only have a few days/nights that are that cold.
Could use a water circulator instead of a heater? My worry would be the heater would run constantly and crap out quick. But moving water won’t freeze. I don’t know what the ducks would think of an actual fountain but a pump in the pool would just keep the water moving. Not that duck butts in the pool won’t do the same.![]()
I have an old bath tub I have been thinking of re-purposing for the ducks. Heavy cast iron, so I have to be sure where I want it before I move it. Put it up on blocks so that I can use the drain to empty it. Real live yellow duckies in the tub. (When they are bigger)![]()

Check out Earthstone cleaning products. I have one for my kitchen sink. Its old stained porcelain with no finish left. So a drip of coffee is a brown spot in all of about 5 seconds. I even used it to get the green off the faucet.I will have to try that on the rust stains in the old sink in the bunkhouse, I have been working on it with comet. Ok NOW I want ducks. Never really wantedcannons before. They are cute and all but nope... too much poo. The idea of ducks swimming in bathtub in my yard... I'm sold! Little tiny call ducks!

I've seen ducks in action. They are adorable. I never wanted to deal with a pool and in winter. But a raised tub like that might not be as bad. But is on papers and have a drain with a hose in the bottom. Then I can unplug it and drain it away from where anything else is. It would be super cut with an old style spigot even if it didn't work. A tub tray with fake book and candle on so they have a platform to get to the deck. Yep... I'm planning...it's trouble. For real Nunny.....these ducks keep a cleaner house then the chickens do. They do muck up the pool in seconds though.
For YEARS hubs would go on and on about how messy and gross ducks are.
Now he is in love with them.
