Official Squatch Watchers

My hearing is destroyed for the day :hmm

The 9am barkathon howl off was an hour early. :th
For whatever reason Sable has gone super soprano. Literally she sounds like she swallowed a yippy Chihuahua.
While River has an amazing bass voice, Delilah is a tenor, Tilly also a tenor Aluah and Sable are ear piercing.

I am heading outside very soon to start setting up to do the Bitty bungalow, add wire to the south soffit of the small coop, change one board on he dog deck (it is badly warped and I found I had another 2x6 in the lumber stash) and perhaps work on clearing more of the spent plants. We will be near record heat again.

Well I got thinking I had a microwave some relative gave me in the basement. Plugged it in down there and it worked...or so I thought :gig it can't even boil water. At 1 min the water was warm, at 5 it felt colder, at 10 it definitely was colder. Sounds like it's working but it's just making noise. Guess it had a last gasp with the first min

Now you know why they gave it away.

I directed them towards MPC where a six week old is 35$ not including shipping or the benefit of the bird being socialised whatsoever.
My time and effort spent on these girls is for their benefit and my own not for some lazy butt that wants instant nice chickens because they can't be bothered to do it themselves.
Screw that.
People always want something cheap, usually your time and effort.
The eggs I took from my LF cochins hens when I sold the flock keep on hatching, one or two a day. About half hatched so far. The bator I locked down yesterday has three hatched this morning. One polish, one Serama and one bantam cochin.

Good morning! Looking like it is going to be a beautiful sunny Monday which is great because iv'e got a ton of derp proofing to do in the yard before these littles are truly set free.
It won't be long, im waiting for everybody to be too fat to squeeze out of the fence and we are at maybe 60% now.
Iv'e got some over achievers and a couple little farts that are taking their time, it always seems to be like that though.
People are killing me though, alot of them are just so lazy!
I asked around before I ordered these girls to see if anyone wanted to split the order with me and got a bunch of "nooo im going to buy started pullets" talk.
Fine, no skin off my back but now that they're creeping up on 8 weeks all nice and poofy those same people are "how much'ing" me to death.
They're too much, that is how much they are.
Im not splitting the order 8 weeks in, i'd gladly start birds for people sure but iv'e kind of got to be aware im doing it.
Jeeze, sorry to vent but the nerve just gets me sometimes.

Im hoping he stays sweet Henny in the back of my mind there is that fear of a teenage Jerry that loves his mama a little too much.
He's already a passionate boy, luckily it is looking like he's going to be pretty small like his father.
Yes, Tucks went bantam. :caf
:frow Good afternoon Chicky, have a great day... Some buyers are just plain nuts

Good afternoon everyone!

Spent the morning cleaning and folding laundry, now I'm kinda sorta working. It feels nice to have a relatively clean house.
:frow Good afternoon Rae, have a great day

Sorry folks, got sucked into work.

Lol, it just killed me that they thought.changing their minds 8 weeks into it was honestly a valid option.
The eye is looking less and less homicidal.:)
My friend had that happen twice now. I wonder what causes that? I imagine you’re still wearing shades? :)
I can see it now, you wearing sunglasses while carrying a flashlight in broad daylight, cuz they’re hiding in a dark space.
Well, the image is funnier in my head than in words, but still .. :lau
