Good morning folks.

I got slightly smacked once. I was in a thread with a loony who thought it was legit animal cruelty to break a broody. :rolleyes: I was arguing with them that (especially in cases where the hen has sat for a long time and there are no chicks to show for her efforts or she is a bad/homicidal mama) sometimes it is best for the health of the hen to break the brood. It got a bit nasty and some stuff got removed because the debate with the loony was distracting from the actual question (how to break a stubborn broody).

These are the American Blues. Theyre a large breed and they really do look pretty blue. Like a dark slate blue-grey. Pictures dont do their color justice. Here is a pic of mom Zelda. The dad, Spyro, is my avatar on BYH.

Good morning. :frow

Yesterday while on his way home from work my son was in a pretty bad accident.
He is ok. He is sore but ok.
He was rear ended on the interstate. His car is definitely totalled. He was hit hard enough that the rear of the car is now in front of the rear wheels.
He said traffic had not slowed and he was doing about 65 when hit. I cannot wrap my head around how fast the guy that hit him had to be going.

We all feel like he was super lucky to walk away from it. The other guy and his passengers are ok as well.

I am hoping everyone gets to have a good day today.
