Ive accomplished something!i didnt take a picture of the nasty carpet, but here are the steps after taking off all carpet, nails and staples. So. Many. Staples.
I chose to paint them instead of new carpeting especially since we are not doing carpet anywhere near them. Im going to decoupage the risers, but wanted to treat them to be able to stand alone in case I dont like the decoupaging. I sure wish I knew when stores get rid of their old wallpaper sample books. I guess I could start calling
I chose to give up my side of the garage instead of getting a portable storage unit for all the crap, I mean stuff, in the living room and hallway. WOW! We have a lot of stuff
The one bookcase took 12+ boxes. The fish tanks are another box each (the stuff stored underneath) and the entertainment center is at least three more boxes on top of the others. Most is DVD’s we haven't touched in years. We have another full box of them in the garage from a yard sale nearly four years ago now. I think it’s time to donate or make deer and bird scarers. Sorry if some of this is a repeat.
With all the dogs here I don't miss carpet one bit. I like the stairs colors you chose.
