Good morning all
Supposed to be 48 today, maybe I can harvest the other extra tom.
Small Coopers hawk has been hanging around. I seen it hopping by the creek and wasn't sure if it was him or a rabbit in the brush. Went around and down there and it was him, hopped up into a honeysuckle bush and into a mulberry tree before I could grab him. Not sure what I would have done with him anyway. Couldn't see anything wrong with wings, but he sure didn't fly.

I hope the hawk isn't seriously injured and also leaves the birds alone.
I had mixed feelings about him.... I actually laughed at him and told him that's what he gets for harassing my chickens. There's 2 cockerels small enough he could get them.... he's probably after rodents or sparrows in the poultry yard..... Still scaring the bejebbers out of everyone.
but if I had caught him I probably would have taken him to a raptor rehabber
