That's really pretty!

Thanks! I have had that piece of fabric for a loooong time. I think it fits well for that bird.

Now to pick the others from my extensive stash....

Here is a video of the way I plan to try this. Given the design is 100% different but the concept is the same.

Good to hear the half wall is easier than railings :celebrate

How on earth did you cut that out Henny? Do you have a cricut?

Actually it's very easy....when you know about freezer paper applique.
Simply draw or trace the desired shape onto freezer paper, cut it out and iron it onto the desired fabric. That waxy coating on the freezer paper melts into the fabric well enough to be able to cut the piece out.
It stays on the piece until you are ready to applique that piece to the bigger fabric.
I will be doing a fused applique so could have used the fusable sheets. That however doesn't hold as well and I only need a thin ribbon of it near the edges so the piece isn't stiff in the final quilt. Freezer paper was my best choice here.

Boy I had a scare at lock up. Calico turkey hen in a mulberry tree hanging by wings between 2 branches. Shined flashlight on her and she looked dead to me. Went and got two 10 foot long pipes and connected them, couldn't reach her. When I got back with a ten foot ladder she was gone. I hope she got up in the tree, I couldn't find her on the ground. I'll see in the morning if I still have 14 hens.

I really hope she is ok and wasn't put there by a predator. :hugs

Morning y'all.

I have been up since 11:30. :hmm Sable has been restless all night like she isn't feeling well. She hasn't eaten anything odd that I am aware of, no runny poops in the kennel, no puke either. Just absolutely would not settle.
She actually hopped the baby gate to wake me up which is very not like her.

She ate a large dog cookie a half hour ago and is FINALLY laying down in hubs recliner.

It will be getting light in an hour and the chickens will need tended. No point trying to lay down now.

I am hoping for a good update from Mo on the odd turkey stuff from last evening.

Good morning everyone 😊 have a great day

That looks like a lot of work, but very pretty. I read where you said it isn't difficult, I'm glad and can't wait to see yours finished

Praying for a good report
