Hiya folks!

We are getting closer to baby piggies! One of my sows, Jericho, is starting to get a bit swollen in the “lady bits” and is developing quite the milk bar. Freda has something of a milk bar, but is way less developed. So I think she might be due 4/7 based on seeing the boar mount her when I put them together on 12/14. Jericho is either due Friday 2/25 based on the first time she broke into Puddles pen, or 3/19 based on the second time she broke in. It’s hard to say at this point. This weekend will tell.

I labeled the girls J and F in the photos.

FYI, their previous owner says that Freda blows her coat when she is pregnant or it gets really hot. That is why she is half naked.

Question, is it alright to transplant the articles I wrote for BYC to my blog on my website? I want to do that because I put a lot of effort into writing those and would like to use them as content for my blog.

I agree Henny will know for sure, but as the author, I would think the answer is yes. If my understanding is correct, you and BYC own the content posted here and either can use it as you see fit.

How's the boy about the big pigs that went to the processor?

He’s doing alright, we only got the meat back on Saturday (143lbs and 94lb hanging weight) and haven’t eaten any yet. He hasn’t been bringing it up.
