Lucky you! So you are actually getting little chicks!

There appears to be nobody in NJ (or even somewhat close by) who breeds Seramas, unfortunately! (there was one farm I found--a ways away from me--who I called and left emails, but they never got back to me and their site was last updated in like 2015, so no luck).

That's OK Suze, but thanks. There are a couple people on BYC who do sell and ship Serama eggs, and there is always MPC, which I love. I just wish there was a source to get the actual chicks somewhere by me! I've never hatched eggs, and Seramas are supposed to be one of the harder breeds to hatch.

That's my dilemma. My other coops are small but with a very large covered roof so I keep food and water in the run with a water heater so it doesn't freeze. I would probably have to keep food and water inside this coop I need a coop design that is small but big enough for food and water. These Seramas are tiny. So adorable

The animal heads on the wall--coupled with the creepy fact that he looks kinda like a chubby, hillbilly, hairier version of Jesus from The Walking Dead--just makes it, like, perfection, lol!
 
Just had to share this.....DH put some stuff on the grocery list and look how he wrote potatoes.....he underlined the tatoes part. :lau:lau:lau That's how much he hates the word taters. I almost wet my pants laughing when I saw this.

I’ll have to see come spring what they has between to the two of them. I had wanted Isbars. She used to have ayam cemani too.

When you get back, cross off the PO, and write TATERS over what he underlined, hand it back to him and say FINISHED!

My thinking.... To fit a 3x6 footprint

Find plans for as 4x8 that you like and subtract 1' from all the 4' parts and 2' from all the long parts. Walla you have a 3x6 coop and run.

For food inside how about a rabbit feeder on the inside of the clean out door?
