My coop has cedar siding but the inside is plywood.

Maybe you could line the coop with plywood or paint it to seal the pores in the wood?

I was thinking about it now I'm wondering if i should burn it

Well then you have no worries. I don't kick anyone anywhere anymore. But we were kids. I have endured many bruising traumas in multiple areas, and yeah it hurts. Older and wiser.

Maybe a clear coat do you think that will work? I also use pine shavings for nesting

I don't think you need to be that drastic. The wood is old, probably most of the oil has dried out of it.
