This is a 360 of my coop. I’m standing where the man door to the inside is. To the right is a storage area that’s open at the top but the chickens don’t use. (It’s 6’ wide by 12’ 3 1/2”)

The chicken area itself is square. 12’ 3 1/2” x 12’ 3 1/2”.
The side walls are 6’ 6” tall with the peak at 11’ 5 1/2”
The window is 27”x30” and 8’ 1/2” from the floor. There is a vent with luvars opposite the window in the storage area.
The window is always open. (It has no glass) there is welded wire and window screen covering the opening.

Most of the chickens go to the rafter that goes over their area to roost. So 6’+ off the floor. I tried stopping them from going up there but they threw themselves at it anyway so I put up the tree ramp.

While I was in there the coop was 16* with 16% humidity. I’m going to check those numbers again. It was 3* outside with 69% humidity.

I am so sorry Ruby :hit Being sick is awful and upper respiratory stuff is the worst. I am having trouble focusing too but that is just because I really hate studying.

Is your chicken's comb getting better? I can't remember, Is she inside your house or back outside?

What are you studying, CSA?

Wow... can you put some flour or something down on the floor so you can find where they're coming from/ get a foot print?
Oh there are lots of places they are getting in! The workers never finished closing in the eaves, nor the gutters or the snow rails! Slack Tater heads!
I don't think i could tell the track of a squirrel from a rat or a flying squirrel or a chipmunk. I think one or all of those varmints go up there...

Dropped to 14* once everyone went to roost.

I think my broody is broken but I’m going to give it a few more days. She was wandering around today not trying to pancake herself anywhere. She’s sleeping where the nest boxes are supposed to be but that makes a nice roost anyway.

Think Coconut Oil was the way to go for the boys. On the left is Captain who had fluid filled nasties on his last points. Those are gone. Coloring is still off but no fluid.

Trouble looks worse but I can’t tell what could be dead skin vs dirt stuck to him from his head being goopy.... only time will tell.

Archaeological history and theory :sick I am in grad school for archaeology and I have a big written exam next week. The exam is only held once a year and I have to pass it to proceed to the next stage of my degree. But it is ok cause I have you guys as study buddies and that really helps :) The stuff I am reading is really dry and dense (but useful) so I take a lot of quick breaks between sections. Catching up with you all is the perfect mini break :love
