Official Squatch Watchers

Lol well in that case I'd say he doesn t mind too much. We kept chicks in the very cold basement. Wouldn't recommend it, but I think the cold helped keep the smell down.

I missed the part about from outside. That would have been great. Pics? I go in to scoop the poop in the am anyway, but it'd be nice to free them before I go in.
I will try to get some pictures but it is difficult because there are some roof panels up, and i have tarps on the sides for winter. Maybe a diagram would illustrate better.

Even a short explanation would suffice. Like do you have everything rigged outside where is everything inside except for the end of the rope that you pull to open and close?

I almost forgot! It snowed here today and earlier I let the girls out. They went right after the snow. I think they thought they were treats. Not sure how they'll feel tomorrow after they are the real snow that fell.

The pop door has wooden tracks on the sides so it slides up and down like a guillotine. The door is metal and has a hole drilled so the wire (plastic coated) runs through the hole and is attached. The wire runs up the outside of the coop to the pully, then is strung along the top to the end of the run. The wire has 2 loops in it where i attach it to a tree, depending on whether i want the door open or shut.
It seems to me i posted pictures of it on my thread, Helpful hints for building coops.
