I spent most of my day yesterday watching youtube vids on how to operate a ditch which trencher... Last time I used one was in the late 70's and I had an experienced supervisor. All the safety vids say operate on level ground (what's that?)... Meter is at 300 feet above sea level, house 700 feet. So 400 foot clime over a quarter mile. Oh and avoid rocks, that's all I've got around here.:barnie
 
Good morning everybody!
Dropped off for the holiday week to spend time with the kids who came home and tend to the wisdom tooth kid who ended up with dry socket. I haven't had a full nights sleep in a week,and feel groggy like a new mom!
-also woke up to my sweet Dory, toying with being broody again!
There are over 400 posts I missed! Anyone care to summarize anything big I missed?
 
You doing like a Home Depot rental ditcher?

It has been a long time since I ran one but they really aren't to hard. Just take it slow. If you hit a rock that is big like cobble it can create some issues. Keep a shovel handy in case you need it.
Start at the low side and keep it in a low gear.

Tree roots are troublesome for them too.

Not a lot that is BIG that my old mind recalls....

Rjohns got his piggies, they like to redecorate their house. Super cute of course. He has a busted waterline so will be running a ditchwitch today.

Smuvs kiddo is sick and running a fever. She got lots of useful stuff from the Friday shopping. When kiddo feels better the projects should begin.

Capricorns son is getting married. Caps been busy with projects too.

Sam is battling foot pain again.


There is lots more going on of course.
There are some fun videos a couple pages back too.

It is early here and this old lady has a mind like a sieve. Forgive me if I missed other big events.

Sounds like you have had a busy week. You have not missed anything on my end.

Cap, beautiful quilt! I used to go to “quiltings” with my grandmother and great grandmother. I don’t suppose they do those anymore. I use to thread everyone’s needles, and now I am the one that struggles.

I would love to do quiltings with people. It sounds like a lot of fun.
 
Good morning kids! Fine fine morning here! PIC is up, fever broke, feeling good. He's already wrestled both dogs into submission, so I think he's gtg outside with me to *play* with the chickies.

I like that it can work as a paint sprayer too... yippee!! ALL of the walls in our house need painting... another thing on our unending list of chit to do!
