Hi guys,

Just popping in for a sec. I've been in lurk mode lately. Haven't felt much like writing. Been having depression and anxiety issues, mostly related to work stress and a very toxic, nasty environment and nasty people. It's making me pretty miserable and affecting my sleep. I'm still waiting to hear back from my job interview.

That's all, I'm still around, just quiet.

So sorry you are having issues at work. I had a really mean boss once. I went in to work on my day off to take presents to my coworkers and she started yelling at me about hanging up a calendar! Some people are just jerks. I learned to agree with their ideas and just do what i intend to do. My Dad used to yell a lot too. I think such people have low self esteem and like to bully others. Hugs. Hope you feel better. Try to concentrate on Christmas and forget about work while you are not there. Don't let it ruin your off time.

OK....You all are freaking me out now. This is the water heater I use in my coop. I even have the cord enclosed in plumbing pipe so they can't peck at it. Please tell me I'm not gonna burn down my coop

Good late morning y'all! Beards are jelly free, ended up using baby wipes they work just as good on the butt sitting on chickens shoulders as they do actual butts!

You are not going to burn down your coop. I am making a similar one myself. I plan to put cement board under it. Maybe enclose the wire in PVC.

You should be fine. They sell lots of them and haven't heard of them starting fires. I would probably elevate it on blocks or something to keep it away from bedding, but then again I'm paranoid.
