Typically Ameraucana rooster

orange is the right color
Ameraucanas are generally not as heavy as other breeds but they are somewhat stalky

He is smaller then BR roos when i had those but not by alotif thst helps!... he usnt heavy when holding so maybe he just seems big because of his fluff? Him and his offspring are the only roos i have besides the bannies.. so its kimda hard to determine size i can try to find an older picture with the other roos i had at one point in the picture. I dont know if i have one though.

I used peanuts, sunflower seeds and peanut butter on two glue traps and chicken scratch on two others. In the snap trap I had an almond wedged in and good ole peanut butter smeared on.

I snapped the side of my hand setting it so only set one. Dang things are mean to set.

So Sesame goes to her nesting box and lays for a while like she is going to lay, but hasn’t. Is that normal?

I think it is normal Sassy. I have several that feel the need, get in then a bit later are back out. They repeat it several times before laying. Some even sit for a half hour or more.

My young pullets feel the need to go in just before one of the adults is ready to lay and just stay there for like a half hour while the adult complains. I think its spite. But they are almost pol.

I love all white chickens

My DS calls the RIWs poodles. They are turning into beautiful big birds and pure white with a rose comb and fluffy tails.

@Rubysword,
Where are the dadgum rats?
Definitely not a rat fan here!

I had to use poison on one that the neighbor released. It carted the snap trap across the pen without setting it off and avoided the glue traps.

I do not envy your plight with them.

I tried everything and nothing worked, until I put ducks in the brooder (brooder is in the woodshop/aka barn cement floor side). Rat decided it was too noisy and moved out. No sign of him being out there since. The poison is untouched and not in any of the other traps. Ducks have been on pasture for 9 weeks and still no sign that he moved back in.
