There are a lot of stinky doggies running around lol.

Here we warn each other if a gassing has occurred. It would be a terrible thing not to.

A silky comb is rather unattractive.

I got an early introduction to different combs. The 7 chicks our neighbor gifted us with were Dominique and Dom crosses, so they all have Rose combs.

Can't happen soon enough. Free loaders need to get back to work. 1 egg a day or every other day is just ridiculous.

I need to catch up on the gardening thread.

I also didn't know about the different kind of combs when I got my chickens. I guess I never thought to look! There are so many features about them that I notice acutely now, funny though all the breeds I chose have singles.
And Rosy who is one of my welsummers grew such an enormous comb, it grew and grew and grew until the sheer weight of it made it flop over to the side like a jaunty French beret, so early on she had EVERYONE convinced she was a Roo! Her wattles are huge too.

Those dog farts you're all describing tho ... sheesh!

And the kind that the dog does then gets up and leaves behind... that's called "crop dusting".
