Official Squatch Watchers

I like her but i wasn't planning on getting another cat. The cat before her was a little crazy he was a tom i raised from a litter of barn cats. Got him neutered as soon as possible, still crazy. Jealous cat, would poop in hubbys shoes . I got her in a bar, guy had a box of kittens and i took one. I didn't even look just reached in and got one, actually picked out the shoe pooper so i let luck get me a good cat.:)
I have 3 (5 total in the house father in law has 2) and they are all spoiled rotten!! I would have more if i didnt have kids or other animals(or a husband that would let me have more) . I grew up rescuing and rehoming them with my mom.
(She now has 19 i think 5 live outside (she is the old cat lady!!)
(Thank goodness she keeps the house cleanish and has automatic cat boxes other wise you would be able to smell that hpuse from 10 miles away lol)

Hey, I have a question for you guys.

Do you think I should post my eggtopsies as a separate thread? I think a lot of people might find it helpful, but if they aren't following my incubation thread they will miss it.
maybe change the title of your thread (including eggtopsies) or something like that.

Haha i feel you i rescue a little kitten(now my father in laws) trying to be nice and all but the little devil likes to pee on things, the bed the couch, the bathroom rugs and i wasnt having it so i gave her to him for company for his male and she is fine now...demon cat lol

Hugs to all my friends. You are not alone! I just don’t want to get into it on here. I will share some pics of chicks instead.
These are the 2 guys I am planning on sending to Sam. Kind of makes me sad to get rid of the Yeti. He seems like he is going to be protective of the girls. He gets upset if they give a distress call when picked up. He is so handsome too!!!

Soooo pretty!

Sssssooooooo....... I was digging around in the cabinets the other day....... I found a pineapple cake mix.
Cakes are one thing I do not make from scratch.

I have found a cure for dog poot stinking up the room!!!! That cake smells wonderful right now.

Yes, my shame is the smelly dogs trying to kill me off.
I LOVE pineapple cake. My tiny human is allergic and we haven't had pineapple in years. I used to mix drained crushed pineapple w/ vanilla putting and put that on the pineapple cake. It was SOOOOOoooo good! Super jealous right now.

19* this morning. Dad came up to me and asked "Where is the best place in the coop to put the heat lamp in." Needless to say, I super-duper freaked out. No dad, no fires in our coop, please! Sigh. Oh well. Just to make sure, the chickens will be fine, right? They have had no supplemental heat, so they should have acclimated of their own accord.
I was about the post for the same reassurance. It's 20º here right now and going down to single digits tonight and tomorrow. Another 4-6" of snow. I have electricity in the coop, but just an LED lightbulb, and heated water dishes. It's sooooo hard not to worry about them, esp when you hear those 'if you're cold they're cold - bring them inside' commercials. I know @21hens-incharge is in Colorado, is anyone else (besides @FlyingNunFarm @Suzi18) in a snowy area?

@FlyingNunFarm @Suzi18 How bad is it up by you two?. I'm covered here and we're supposed to get another 4-6.. I imagine it's much worse for you both b/c of lake effect. I didn't even bother going over this morning b/c I wasn't going to open the door, but now I feel guilty b/c they're going to be bored all day... but I KNOW they won't go outside. I have a head of cauliflower I'm going to toss out to them later that will hopefully entertain them for a day or 2... I need some boredom busters for chickens.
