Official Squatch Watchers

I just had a meltdown and work and started crying. Had to go sit in the back for awhile and sob.

My boss (who is not even really my boss) is a nasty, evil thing. I can't believe I lost it.

Another hour and a half and I'm outta here. I really, really hope I hear back from that job soon.
:hugs:hugs:hugs
I'm so sorry, I HATE crying at work. Even when my co-workers/managers are nice. It is 1000X worse when they aren't.

I was just reading a link about chicken boredom busters.. it says live crickets.. Has anyone let loose live crickets in their coop?
Yes. When the hawks are bad, I go out in the yard, collect them in a jar and release in the run. Sesame is so spoiled she stays at my feet while I stir up the crickets or point them out.
It was 23 here when I let the chicks out this morning and they were waiting by the coop door.

On the hopefully NEW job :fl:fl

And HEY!!!!

DO NOT LET HER GET THE BEST OF YOU!!!!

Do you hear me?:hugs

Thanks, my friend. :hugs

I washed my face, reapplied my makeup and am back at my desk seeing students. I look (and feel) like shit though...if anyone asks I'm just gonna say I have a cold.

I just feel like, I used to have friends at work and am realizing that nobody here really gives a sh*t, which makes me feel even worse. Whatever. I'm outta here as soon as I can find something else. My husband wants me to just quit, but I want to find another job first. Jobs are scarce for what I do....anyway, thanks for the hugs. You guys care more than my real life friends or family, which is sad.

Sorry about the pity party! I'll respectfully shut the hell up now.:duc

So sorry. Mean people suck.

It has been a week right? I would give them a call inquiring if they have made a decision and letting them know you are still interested.

:hugs

Surely there's a way you can be just as big of a thorn in your non bosses side. Don't cry...plot.;)

Totally agree.
Also for
@pitbullmomma

I had a job a few years ago where my boss was such a selfish thoughtless creature.

I did SO much to make that place run smoothly.

I dealt with everyone in the department SO he wouldn't have to because he had ZERO people skills/empathy.

I literally lifted a gigantic weight off his shoulders and made his life 1000% better and he
Did. Not. Care.

On my last day (we were moving)
He walked by me and said "See ya. '" over his shoulder.
I said something like "UH, hey... you remember today's my last day right?"

And he stopped, turned (kinda)shrugged and said,
"I SAID see ya'!"
and walked out the door.

Pick one of two words that rhyme with stick.

I didn't expect a hug and kiss (yuck) but he could have said SOMETHING nice!

Thanks, Rae. Actually, if they were nice, it would be worse, because then I would get even more sensitive and lose it even more. I'm glad they acted like nothing happened and just ignored me, cuz it was easier to put my frigging big girl pants on and just go back to seeing patients.

Whatever. I just want to get home to my husband, my dogs, and my chickens. Cuz I know they love me. And they make me happy.

One hour to go and it's peace out~

Yesterday a few of the chicks actually ate from my hand. Took long enough. The grocery store had part of a watermelon I bought for them yesterday and they loved it. Hanging cabbage, apples, lettuce they really enjoy. What are some other fun foods and ideas to keep them busy???

It has been a week. They did say they would get back to me soon because they want to hire someone for Jan 2 (although they know I'm on a 60 day contract). School systems are real good about getting back to you within a week or two. So I'm just hanging back, don't want to seem to eager.... I figure I should hear something by tomorrow.
